Not all Americans. But many. Sometimes, The U.S. government likes to fancy itself as Sparta. Great warriors who will never back down from a fight and will unleash holy vengence upon all those who cross them. Unfortunately, the U.S. government also often lacks the skill, courage, and sense of honor that the Spartans had.

I really dislike the use of "honour". Tons of people use that as a reason to support someone who otherwise wouldn't be a good person if he did the same thing for the same reason, but lacked "honour". But then again, honour does lead to several good things, as it does bad. Though, by today's standards, I wouldn't consider Spartans all that good of people either.

Either way, I apologize. You're right. Not all Americans value ultraviolent methods of fixing problems.

I actually had a friend once, who did things the "American Way." Behaved very much like Celldog does. When his stereo broke, he punched it. I kid you not. He just got mad and destroyed it further.

Well, honor does have a rather flexible definition. But the way I was thinking of it was thus:

1) You never atack someone who can't defend themselves.

2) Once your oponant is unable to fight on, then you cease fighting.

3) You treat your enemy, living, dead, and captured, with the upmost respect.

Either way, I apologize. You're right. Not all Americans value ultraviolent methods of fixing problems.

A governments job isn't to try and police a world, just it's borders, and keep it's own people fed and happy. You failed to mention that North Korea spends more on it's military than food and supplies, when (Ill say this in caps to emphasise it ) MILLIONS OF HIS PEOPLE ARE DYING OF STARVATION AND HAVE TO FEAST ON RATS AND CORPSES.

And North Korea are under NO THREAT of attack, simply because relations with China , a valuable ally, would become frosty immediately and perhaps start a nuclear war even.

Hey, if you think North Korea is misunderstood good guys in all of this, why don't you go live there for a week or two? Did you know the people can't legally grow their hair to be longer than their leader? and you think this is the kind of person that should be allowed nukes?

I'm pretty sure that's not what she's saying at all. Sure, Kim Jong Il's crazy, but that doesn't mean he's stupid. If he launched his nuke, he'd die very quickly.

I didn't say that. But she never said that Il was some innocent victim. Simply that the threat may not be as big as we say. I mean, if he nukes any of his enemies, he and his will get severely ****ed up as a result. If he hits Japan or South Korea, North Korea will get hit by the fallout. If he nukes anywhere in the west, we'd slam down on him harder than anyone ever has before. It's a loose/loose situation for him.
