Is there really any place for the original trilogy cast in this one? Minus Wolverine, the rest of the cast should really be staying in the future/present/whatever timeline. Maybe it could start with future Xavier's narration or something?

Yeah I don't see any logical reason to have the original cast in this except for Wolverine

N: Fans were over the moon seeing you in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Is there any chance we’ll see you return once more as Jean Grey?

Famke: I hope so. It certainly has opened a whole new path of possibilities. With Days of Future Past, characters who were once considered dead are no longer. I’m just excited about the franchise. And I really loved the last one. I thought it was smart, it was witty. It was very well done. Yeah, I was thrilled to be back. And it was the perfect timing for it at the end of the movie. It was very nice.

I hope she comes back for another X-Men movie!

She was such a scene stealer in the last 2 X-Men films, - The Wolverine and now X-Men Days of Future Past!

I wouldn't say she was a scene stealer - she had very little role in either, and she was a small part of a sequence were there were arguably three or four scene stealers. She was nice to have back, yes, but hardly a scene stealer.

Jeans role in the wolverine was very shoehorned in, didn't really belong in the film, for me its one of the most forgettable things about the movie and you could have taken it out and it wouldn't have hurt the movie at all

Agreed

It was nice to see her again, but she really wasn't necessary. She wasn't even ever Logan's lover in the original trilogy - it didn't make sense for Logan to be constantly seeing her as his lover in his dreams.

It really wasn't needed yes it was nice but She did choose Scott after all
another reason to say FU Brett Ratner :woot: for forcing that on us

Maybe for you it isn't. But when I watched The Wolverine and DOFP in theater (more than once), the audience always had a reaction when Jean appeared in the screen. If thats not a scene stealer, then I don't know what it is. I felt like with Jean's scenes in those films, the audience really payed attention to her scene.

Really? Might have just been the audience I was with, but she got little reaction when I saw both. Cyclops definitely got a response in that end scene of DOFP, though.

For me Jean's return in DOFP made slightly less of an impact on me since we'd seen her last year. Seeing Scott was a little more 'scene stealing' for me, but that's just my personal view. :yay:

Its probably the audience that you were with. I heard people said "Jean" when she showed up in The Wolverine and thats the same thing in DOFP. And speaking of DOFP, everyone pretty much got reaction from Anna, Kelsey, James, and Famke, well at least the audience that I was with.

Yeah I felt the same thing before, but its been a few months since the movie. I felt like Jean's return has more impact compare to Scott.

X-men original cast sequel is coming...?

Thing is we can't rule out some cameos at end of Apocalypse if say end of apocalypse were to flashforward to 2023 continuing where DOFP ending left off between wolverine and Xavier.

If not there is always new wolverine film,is set after end scene of DOFP,and
possable X-Men/FF film.

Banshee and Emma are dead per Days of Future Past.

I would like to see a different Rogue if she returns. Definitely a Paquin'less Rogue would be best.

The entire franchise needs a complete reboot.

LBR, 'Becca's Mystique will remain the best interpretation in the series.

Lawrence in the role was just laughable and while DOFP tried, she was still sorely miscast in this role. I'm hoping rumors are true that Lawrence wants out because she's the worst right now. She's as bad as Mystique as Anna Paquin is as Rogue.

Boy oh boy has your tune changed.

Only so much effort & support you can give an actor who's portraying your Fave until you have to concede that they are terrible in the role. Anna had ample opportunity to prove herself in the role. X2 gave me some hopes but since then it's been a downwards spiral.

Paquin played the Rogue that was written for her.

What exactly was wrong with her performance?

I used to excuse her for years now but had to face reality. She was never really that great in the role, no matter how much I wanted for her to break out and be the kick ass character she should have been.

Actors have input in their characters all the time. At some point I don’ think Paquin really cared about the character (just care about picking up a paycheck). If you look at her role as Sookie Stackhouse, Paquin even admits to having lots of input with that character. In the past, many writers and producers have spoke up about them wanting Paquin to do more in the role and that never happens for whatever reason (most likely resistance). She had time for her role in DOFP post-during True Blood. Put in an actress that really wants to bring something to the role.

Make all the excuses you want, she’s just bad in the role and hasn’t given a portrayal that’s worthy of this iconic character.

It's clear from the schedule they've set up for themselves that most of the movie will center around the past characters of Mystique/Wolverine/Xavier/Magneto.

You're being silly if you think that any of the future actors would have anything but a supporting role in the face of the Jennifers, Hughs, James, and Michaels of the world. Sad but true.
