We shall see. X3 had bits and pieces of smart ideas but botched its execution every step of the way. Wolverine and the X-men took up a lot of ideas in that movie and did it so much better. I also have a theory that Kinberg et al have only watched the cartoons so I'm expecting Genosha to be like it was in that show. Except I don't think Magneto will be a nefarious schemer this time but there will be a Phoenix-related tragedy there.

Fassy had been growing out his awesome beard for awhile (even while he was racing at a Ferrari event last week) and I was lowkey hoping we'd get a bearded Magneto but he seems to have shaved it. Ah well, he looks good either way.

I think Jamie said Magneto is going to be a hero in DP. Don't know if it is true or not but whatever. We can talk all we want we will have more information in October. But just a thing. Screentrant quote on Magneto isn't a rumor .

If you go on their site but they are basically the worst journalist in LA. They are the definition of clickbait and their article are long for nothing.
They are not in scoop game, they just write long article and speculation.

Like Mad One said, there is a difference between bad idea and bad execution. Before the nerdist scoop, i though Magneto could be on Asteroid M in DP because it 's natural progression for Eric. It doesn't mean Eric is a vilain but Genosha could be interesting in space opera movie with Shiar and Phoenix.

In space opera, characters go in different location ( like Star Wars, Guardians of Galaxy, Star Strek )
In the end, it is all about Kinberg writing ( real question).

I think Fox just ruined the Magneto at this point. Like okay he had a great role in First Class, X1 and X2. Ian McKellen just nailed the role like no other. But there's no need to feature Magneto again unless its a reboot. He will always remain the most iconic X-Men villain, and it doesn't matter if he's good now, Magneto isn't someone like Beast, Cyke, Storm that could appear in every X-Men roster and it'd be fine. Less is more for Magneto and they already overexposed him imho. I would rather see the other X-Men than this former villain turned anti hero especially When people would just say how he always flip sides.

If they are having Magneto on Genosha with his Acolytes then hope they portray them a crazy mutant cult that worship Magneto as the mutant messiah like in the comics.

Why would he be? He killed Shaw, head of that organisation, and the club itself disbanded and no longer exists. Didn't you even watch X-Men: First Class?????

I doubt he will be in the hellfire club but more likely on genosha with his own island of mutants such as toad and ink.

I would love to see Genosha. But was it confirmed the hellfire club was destroyed? A lot of them died but there could have been more or had different chapters.

Plus he was the white king in the comics eventually. It's an interesting idea. Maybe being a part of the hellfire club greased enough palms for him to get Genosha

Technically Fassbender in real life probably has some gray hair by now that he dies his hair for. So it's not completely made up...

Obviously the production doesn't think its important to give him a grey hair, never mind that this is Fassbender in 1993, 40 years since 1963.

Giving Magneto white/gray hair would've been the easiest way for Kinberg to win a couple fans over.

But I also cringe at the thought of what kind of wig Felix would give him so I guess it's understandable.

Maybe we should stop having other mutants being the cause of our character's follicles color changing.

It was cute with Rogue and the mutant machine but now after 17 years we're going back to that same well every time some character needs to match their hair color to the source material, it just gets cheesy.
