Really good episode. The alternate possibility idea was great, and it was neat seeing where everyone could have ended up.

Though brief, I liked the little moment where Shaw was sitting in Root's room.

Greer went out more or less how I was expecting, but it was fitting, if a little...unnecessary in the situation written.

I always find it neat when little things from reality that are related to the series' ideas work their way in, like the little Prism bit back in season 3 shown as one of the machine's decoys, so I liked the little Snowden Easter egg in lockup.

The music cue from when Harold got out of the car and went to the jet at the start This score better not take as long as season 3/4.

I loved Samaritan begging for it's life at the end there.

Oh, and about damn time we saw Shaw and Bear back together. t:

I wish it was Shaw that finally put Greer down and not Samaritan...

It wouldn't have the same impact as it did tonight. Plus it had to be something different than what happened back in Episode 504 with Shaw and his character.

I really wonder what the meaning behind the password Harold used is. I've seen the Sense and Sensibility connection but my theory is that it's Finch's real last name or the name of the road Finch grew up on in Iowa.

I really wonder what the meaning behind the password Harold used is. My theory is that it's Finch's real last name or the name of the road Finch grew up on in Iowa.

It's the last name of the protagonists of Sense & Sensibility, which was the book he gave Grace the wedding ring in back in Zero Day. I wonder why the book was in Root's room, I feel like that's got to be hinting at something. Seemed like a bit of a weird thing to throw in for one shot if it's just a coincidence.

Just caught that in the interview that Plageman and Erik Mountain gave to IGN. I had completely forgotten about that detail since at the time it just didn't seem as important as it does now. With that mystery solved, I still hope we finally get Harold's real last name.

Yeah, I can't agree. While I like the way Greer went out ( Queen sacrifice, nice given the number of times chess has been a theme in the show), he was one crazy little man.... but I would have loved him to have a last little tete-a-tete with Shaw or for Samaritan itself to have deemed him a threat and engineered his demise.

A truly great episode though, and I think the series finale will be something special. All of Nolan's episodes have been great so far, I'm really looking forward to a fitting end to POI.

I was just thinking about how many crazy Simulations this show could've done if it wasn't ending. Hell, you could make a spin-off/reboot just based on Simulations...

• What if Reese didn't get to Shaw in time and couldn't save her?
• What if Kara Stanton lived and became Samartian Operative #1?
• What if Simmons killed Reese instead of Carter?
• What if Fusco made the sacrifice at the stock exchange?

This could've been so wacky and cool to see.

Based on the trailer, Fusco, Shaw, and Finch all get shot, which would certainly fit with Nolan/Plageman's statement that the show would be a bloodbath.

[BLACKOUT]Samaritan's readout mentions Cochlear data, so it seems hiding Root's body under a number instead of her name only delayed Samaritan slightly.

That grave Shaw's standing in front of, it's not the same place as Root's. There wasn't a road there. Wonder if that's someone else's or just an inconsistency. [/BLACKOUT]

Yeah, I kind of feel now like I should've stopped myself the further in I kept going. It really felt more like a recap of the episode than anything. Really more of a CBS move than anything Nolan or Plageman probably signed off on.

Well... here's hoping there are still a few surprises headed our way.

Death of Samaritan and The Machine, Death of the Samaritan's admin. No more ASI's and the world is back to normal, barley anyone even knows what happened.

I do think the end was a bit quick though. Not explaining the password meaning at all was a bit annoying and made it less meaningful. (That's partly why I came here!) I just assumed that it was the town he grew up in or something, but I guess it's from that book. (My mom recognized the name from the book but didn't get why that would be referencing anything, but since it was the book he used to propose to Grace it makes a lot of sense. Just wish it had been more clear.)

Can't wait for the finale, I just don't want it to go! Honestly, if this entire TV show was made into a movie, (Same actors, same writers etc.) I feel like It would be in my top 10. That's saying something because most of my top 10 are Super Hero Movies.

Totally fired up for this ! You can't see the gunshot wounds clearly in the short promo.

Wow this series is going out with a bang. Wonder who will really be alive afterwards (can see Finch faking his death, again ! but the bullet wound in the promo looks pretty serious )

Personally, I hope Fusco makes it because he kind of represents the ordinary man ( compared to two super-assassins and a computer genius ). Looks like Finch might not, but in a way his chances of having a normal life ended when he built the machine. As for Reese, the show's been about his redemption, maybe he'll go on to live a happy life. Shaw, well she has no fear of death so if she doesn't make it I won't be surprised.

Still, looks like it will be great, very very excited about it !

Man, I am so hyped for the final - I've been re-watching season 1 to see if they pick up some of the original threads. I've loved all of the Nolan-written episodes so I'm really fired up for this one.
