true, but any character can be come complicated with a slightly altered background. on the other hand, i would love to get arnold's freeze out of my head, so im fine with freeze in that respect.

Riddler and the Mad Hatter as the unwitting pawns of Two-Face (Only revealed as the puppetmaster at the very end of the movie).

I would like to see Mr.Freeze, The Riddler and The Mad Hatter, the latter being a minor character employed as a possible technician/Gadget whiz for The Riddler. Mr.Freeze seems to be a character designed in the same vein as Two-Face, where you have an ordinary man fall victim to tragedy. However this time Batman will be able to redeem this tragic figure. The Riddler can be the destructive element a la The Joker. In the end it's Nolan directing, and I really don't mind which villain he chooses, he will definitely render them to screen honorably.

I don't want the villians to team-up like in the previous franchise like Riddler and Two-Face, or Poison Ivy and Mr. Freeze did, so if that's what you're talking about, then no thanks.

But if you're just asking what villains should make so sort of appearance in the next one then my list goes...
Catwoman (Love interest for Batman rather than Bruce for a change)
Two-Face (If he's still alive)
Riddler (I'm beginning to like the idea of him being a PI helping track down Batman, that is really a master criminal type figure)
Black Mask/ or Ventriloquist and Scarface (New mob boss, showing the freaks have taken over the city)
Penguin (Arms dealer, sells weapons, information to rival mobs and gangs)
Rupert Thorne (Possible rival to Black Mask, or simply replace Black Mask with Thorne?)

Not at all. Catwoman is the best character that is left, and I've always found their relationship to be interesting in the comics. Both Batman/Catwoman & Bruce/Selina. I feel like we need a major female character because otherwise the movies would feel very...dry. Just because someone wants a female character in the movie doesnt it just because they want to jerk off.

But unfortuantley they are alot of people that think that way. Especially down on the IMDb board. But I've noticed people here are much smarter and actually cares about the movies.

I like the idea someone put out, having Riddler solve crimes and reveal Batman's identity for the police, have Bane hired by the Mob (maybe ran by Penguin, although I prefer Black Mask) to kill Batman, and have a series of murders with riddles left behind, only to find out at the end that Hush was behind them not the Riddler. If you're the guy who had that idea, step up and take credit, nice!

I like this combo it would be really interesting, maby throw in Selina Kyle as well??.......

Taking into account Nolan's realistic approach, the Riddler and Catwoman seem to fit his vision the best.

I would make it the last movie. Because Batman is now beinmg hunted down Bane and or Deadshot could be brought in by criminals to catch him, as the police might have put a bounty on his head or by order of the new mayor rupert thorne. Bane would be a main villain and Talia also who comes and tries to draw out all of the weirdoes and villains to help her destroy gotham/ the world at large and start again as the superior beings they see themselves to be. This way you could get all the villains in in little cameo roles. It could be a bit like X-men 3 where Magneto draws all the freaks out. You have poision ivy and evryone else in there too making little appaerances etc. But I'd have Talia as the main villain with Bain as Batman's hardest physical opponent who he is genuinly scared of fighting.

nolan had said in an interview about a year ago (i cant find it now, but if someone can, please post) that he didnt want touch catwoman or penguin. i think he would create a good riddler, as a much more careful, planning, not-laughing-like-jim-carrey character, which i would really like to see, along with a relatively unknown, non-mainstream character like the black mask or hush.

Two Face still acting as Joker's pawn in someway matched with Talia al Ghul. The League of Shadows wants to finish the job from BB and has Dent in his confused mission for justice in which he creates a city wide riot so Talia can release another attack on the entire city with ease.

No way in hell it's ever gonna happen, but I want to see Joker/Scarecrow.

Think, with Scarecrow's fear gas and Joker's love of causing chaos, they'd make a perfect team.

But, since that team is unlikley, I'd go Riddler/Bane/Black Mask.

I honestly think that (if there is a third film) the primary antagonists will essentially consist of all the main characters, being that the line between hero/villain was so convoluted in TDK. I think that it would consist of Bruce/Batman, the GCPD, and possibly the Riddler/Bane.

I Agree about the catwoman thing. Watching Angelina Jolie, or beckinsale (or even thinking about it) as catwoman in the nolan-verse would be the occular form of diarrhea.
