Action-Adventure Power Rangers 4.0 - Part 2

Just purchased Gosei Sentai Dairanger's new packaging DVD released (plan to binge rewatching this series again).

And also Avataro Sentai Donbrothers Bluray vol.4 (the last 14 episodes)...while awaiting KingOhger's Bluray vol.1 this September. Hehe.

Would be a waste of the Yellow Ranger's Arc in Once and Always if they completely reboot it. There has been consideration of TV-14 for the reboot.

However, they are apparently leaving New Zealand and could be headed back to North America.

Id be surprised if they did. I could see them moving it to Vancouver, though Atlanta would be great.

The NZ speculation is based off this:

Plus the new reboot writer, Jenny Klein is American and currently on strike right now as a member of WGA. The new reboot producer Johnathan Entwistle is also based in America and also likely to be on strike right now as a WGA member.

Unless you are talking about the end of the current era of Power Rangers.

At the moment, its a bit early to speculate, because Hasbro has also been making moves to sell off E-One, their media company. Its unclear if it would include Power Rangers.

It is. The reboot is on hold anyways because the two people involved are on strike with WGA.

Most relevant here, I guess.

I have no interest in watching. Given how Bat in the Sun has taken it upon themselves to speak for JDF in order to bash Power Rangers, I just am not fan of the company. And that last tag line feels super inappropriate.

Poor David Ramsay, desperate for money while he was waiting for more Arrowverse money.

So a Power Rangers theory I heard about Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, which has zero affect on the overall universe is that Ernie, the owner of the Angel Grove Youth Center knows who the Power Rangers are, it's that the Rangers don't know that he knows.

It's sad that for the first time in basically a decade there is no PR currently filming. They officially shut down and got rid of all of their sets in NZ and there are no current plans for the original series Hasbro was talking about ages ago.

They are also shutting down the Lightning Edition I believe?

So basically PR will just be living on in comics for the time being.

I know this is JDF's last project, but this looks awful tbh. The guy behind Bat in the Sun has always given me creeper vibes and I swear he's laundering money through these projects. I'll pass.

Doesn't help that the WGA and SAG are on strike. The writers involved in the reboot are SAG members.

There was zero traction on it before WAG went on strike.

No new studio to work out of. No one cast. Its been over a year since anything was announced

That goes in line with one of their original plans for Ernie to secretly be Zordon.

Here's hoping it doesn't complicate the already complicated deal of Shout Factory releasing Super Sentai sets.

What did Hasbro do with it exactly? :o
