One of my favorite trailers. Hell, I wouldn't even mind seeing something of his Chanel commercial, which I think is still his best work.

Yeah I want Scott to completely imitate the first Alien trailer for Prometheus. That would get my blood pumping right there!

They should reuse Dead Space's Twinkle Twinkle, (which was stolen from Alien: Resurrection BTW!)

I still like just ambient music/sound from the original Alien trailer. The Twinkle twinkle is creepy, but I like the tense feeling you get from the Alien trailer.

Twinkle Twinkle would be the full trailer. The atmospheric one would be the teaser.

Still my favorite trailer to date. It gets you hooked, doesn't give anything away, and scares the **** out of you.

Trailers like this really show that trailer making really can be an art form in and of itself. To bad it's been lost, for the most part.
 
Not only is it crappy, but it's ripped off from the Aliens comic book series where a very similar situation happens involving a space jockey. I call BS.

I thought my post spoke for itself. That "scoop" is pretty much a summary for the story "The Alien" by Dark Horse Comics, and could have easily been thought up by anyone who happened to read a wiki article about the space jockeys (which would mention the story in question).

People are always quick to assume that the jockeys created the xenos, and therefore, want to use them as biological weapons, but we just don't know that at all. All that we know about them is that the xenomorphs were on the jockey's ship, there was some sort of stasis field on the eggs, but one still somehow got out and infected the jockey, and the jockey then sent out a signal which Ripley determined to be a warning. If this were an aggressive being that didn't care for anyone but itself, I doubt it would have bothered to warn anyone.
 
It's been known for a while now that the aliens were created as a military experiment gone wrong.

I couldn't call it steal, so much as paying homage.

Dead Space has a TON of nods to The Thing, Event Horizon, and Alien series.

Well...no...it hasnt. Because there's nothing that suggests that in any of the films.

However, it's assumed that they are.

Comics, books, all that stupid crap is not canon, and does not exist.
 
The rumors sounds pretty much in line with what Ridley's been saying about the connection between the Xenomorph and the Space Jockeys. The Xenomorphs were created by the Space Jockeys as a biological weapon to completely annihilate a planet's dominating species. Perhaps they are a part of the taraforming that Ridley has been talking about for so long.
 
I still freak out watching that Alien trailer, as excited as I am for this movie I am not looking forward to seeing it in theaters as I know I'll be freaking out from fear.
