Can someone answer a question for me? I've seen the Aliens movie many, MANY time over the years and I rented it the other day. Now, has the beginning part where it shows Newt with her parents and the Space Jockey ship, has that always been there? Or is it some new footage? I thought I was going crazy.

That was the Director's Cut. That was one of the few deleted footage that Cameron restored in the Director's Cut of Aliens.

And if the movie is set in the same universe as the other Alien films, then yea, the Xeno's should look the same. Why not?

Ahh i see. Yea I guess they should look different then. But as seen in the previous films, the different hosts didn't effect the way they looked, but the way they moved and their body structure.

Human hosted ones stood upright. Dog/cow hosted ones stood on all fours. But they still had the same facial design etc.

It will be interesting to see, but they should have the same basic look. They're the same species afterall.

Aliens take on various forms depending on the characteristics of their hosts. Everyone knows that!

I'd say the space jockeys (if they really are still the focus of this film) will be a major departure from any specie we've come across thus far within the Alien universe (humans, preds, animals etc etc). That goes for the species that they're supposedly trying to wipe out too.

So I wouldn't completely discount the look in that picture.

This is kinda off-topic But,I really want the Alien anthology Blu-Ray set soon and I was wondering IF the set includes Director's Cut&Special Editions of the movies!?!?,IF it's just the theatrical versions in full HD then that kinda sucks and maybe I should just stay with my dvd anthology since in that one I have the option to view it in different versions for each film.

As a die hard Alien fan, I can EASILY accept change. As long as it's good. The AvP **** did not look good. Hence...it sucks.

And yes, Scott has a ton of balls. Big badass british balls. He's the ****ing man. End of story.

you payed money to watch Kingdom of Heaven in the theater. but after the movie was over you had to again pay money to see Scott's vision. this is an insult.

if this movie was not in native 3D i would not pay money because i knwo i have to watch the directors cut on BR. but since its native 3D and Scott knows how to make a movie with tension and atmosphere it will be a perfect 3D theater experience.

Way better. I love my Blu Ray. Alien is looks like a brand new movie. It's so perfect.

Aliens is good, but still has lots of grain. Which i'm fine with. That's how the movie's always been.

I know the Blu-rays in general are much better,I just meant that since the Alien Anthology dvd had them re-mastered or whatever.....I just assumed it looks almost the same on Blu-ray,But it's sounding great and I will have to get them soon as well as other films I've been wanting on there!

This is so stupid....do you not know how things work?

You cant stop the studio...they can kick you out from making the final cuts and calls. They can fire you, and hire someone else to finish the flick.

You can have all the balls you want to, but unless the studio has a massive amount of respect for you, you might not get your way.
