I'd love to have one of those types of choppers, but here in KY, you have to add so much crap to the bike to make is street legal, it kills the purity of the chopper, oh well.

Well, MSJ on a earlier post wrote he had right in front of him the scale model....
I bet that model was the start prototype, maybe sculpted by Miles Teves, later digitalized and copied in the static models. Then Re-sculpted to adapt to the structure of a real bike for the moving scenes....probably the motorized 'cycle has some differences, carved out space for the real engine, some real parts instead of "melted" ones in the mechanical back wheel part, real working brake/rims, etc

Yeah, I remember that first mention of the bike back in the original Q&A thread. I was so jealous of MSJ for having that model in front of him. Then I was mad because he wouldn't tell us what it looked like.

Gee, and so many people thought it was all CGI.

My buddy works for Electronic Arts working with CG every day, and he still says that the first pic we seen is almost all digital. Chances are that first pic was a rendering that was used to model this sculpture, whick looks like ALOT of Fiberglass and Resin sculpture (especially those front forks). Not exactly what I would've done, but alot of you guys seem to dig it.

How hasn't rated this thing yet? Now that we've seen a few more pics of it, I bet a few people changed their minds.... though the support is already overwhelming.

I wish it weren't so "exact". It seems to me, a bike from hell wouldn't be so machined. It would be basic, and have the "get the job done" look to it.

I still think it looks killer though.

I don't know about it all being digital. To me, it looks like the fire around the wheels (and maybe the wheels themselves) are digital but the bike itself is real.

It's pretty crazy how many people like the bike actually... as compared to how many hate it. There's some overwhelming support for it, which is awesome.

Well, to me, that bike looks like it CAN (and will) get the job done...

Some info from here; http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0508/20/ghostrider.htm

Question: Are the tires going to be made out of solid fire or will they be rubber with covered fire?

Johnson: We found that when they were completely fire, like they are in a lot of the comics, they were too "floaty," they didn't have any weight to it. So what it is, they're covered with fire, with shadowed wheels on the inside. That seemed to be the best way to give some real weight to it.

Hell yeah! but the wheels will have to be clay at the least.....otherwise they'd melt....

I agree that there is something great about the cycle being 'normal' but I also think that there is something great about it being outer worldly, demonic even. I mean, the whole symbol of Ghost Rider is fear and if the bike is also fearsome, that only adds to it all.

There is alos a possibility that the bike will evolve as the movie goes on. It may start out as normal and progress into this beaut of a machine.

is anyone but me thinking that they should do some cg affects with the designs on the hellcycle moving, like some people think of hell as chaotic, ever-moving. But hey that hellcycle looks sweet! i would give anything to ride that baby!

Interesting idea there.

I just can't wait to see that beastie in action.

It's still possible that they'll give the bike a little more "life" through CG. They may very well make the bike look very organic with a beating heart inside the thing or something. Who the hell knows at this point?

I think the production team is making a mistake with the Ghost rider bike. I'll show you the bike and the info that I sent to Gary and the production office and you make the call. Why is it better?

1. Looks. It's killer, it shames the other bike.
2. Marketing. There's not another bike like it. You know as well as I do that merchandising is a big part of any movie, there's going to be T-shirt, posters, bikes, etc. With the big boom in choppers and bikes there is a lot of competition on the shelf. Try and find one on the shelf that's half as bad ass and unique as this bike. There's only one place to find a real hubless bike.
3. It has a built in audience. This bike was built by Billy Lane of Choppers Inc, one of the most popular builders featured on the Discovery Channel. Any movie his bike is in will draw a huge biker following.
4. Advertising. Billy Lane and Choppers Inc are on the Blood, Sweat and Gears tour. What better way to promote the movie than to put it in front of 200,000 people during Daytona Bike Week and Laconia before the movie opens?

I think it's a no brainer.

I don't work for Choppers Inc, and I'm not affiliated with any company promoting them. I did this because I think that this bike is the perfect Ghostrider Bike.

I may be crazy, you make the call.

Here are the photos, you can find many more at the Choppers Inc website.

Uhmm..imho it looks even more fragile than the actual hellcycle...
I don't dig much choppers, but the 'cycle seems tougher than most of them i've seen.

As a biker I recognized Lane's work right away. But you must be talking about for Blaze's bike and not the actual Hell cycle. In part I can agree if that is what you mean. But if you mean for the Hell cycle then total disagreement.

As someone who has seen both the Stunt Cycle and the Hellcycle, I can say with utmost certainy, these bikes are kick-ass.
I can't say which one is better, as they both have great features. I do know that the Hellcycle overheated if left on (like my Krusty the Clown alarm clock), so it was impractical for long-term use.
Any other questions I'd be happy to answer. :)

The hubless bike would be for for Blaze's bike, not replace the Hellcycle. I should have stated that.

I like the bike but I don't like it for Blaze. I think it would make a great baddies bike though.
