Red Dead Redemption 2 is now set to launch Spring 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This outlaw epic set across the vast and unforgiving American heartland will be the first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans.
We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready. We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer. In the meantime, please enjoy this selection of new screenshots from the world of Red Dead Redemption 2.

Shame about the delay but not overly surprised, the first one was delayed several times and Rockstar do not put out their game until its completely polished so you know the delay will make the game better.

This delay is seriously no big deal or cause for concern, rockstar will deliver an awesome game. Anxious to return back to the world of Red Dead, but I have plenty of games to keep me busy until Spring 2018. Plus I can always revisit my RDR game of the year edition on my ps3

It happens with virtually every AAA game. I mean, it's always in service of making the game better but at this point announcing release dates early out is totally irrelevant.

Looks gorgeous, can’t wait. It’s a prequel we are a new character named Arthur Morgan in Dutch’s gang. I’m assuming at some point we will get a Marston cameo since we know he was a member of Dutch’s gang. Man I cannot wait for this. So much yes.
