This new lead is a scoundrel.

He seems much more of an unabashed bad guy than Marston ever was. Marston was a guy trying to atone for his past, this guy is just a criminal.

Trailer was great, but I'm not sure how I feel about playing as a member of Dutch's gang and commiting crimes. What I loved to best in RDR was spreading good. Help people, bounty hunt, stop crimes. I don't want to be a criminal.

Same. I never finished a GTA title, because I eventually got bored of playing a criminal. But I finished Red Dead Redemption, Sleeping Dogs and Saints Row 3 & 4. I care more about either playing a good guy, someone who walks the line between good and bad, or a charming rogue. Plain thugs, no interest.

That's most likely why the reversal now. In RDR you could play a bad dude, kill people, steal money, all kinds of misdeeds. But it's not the way the game was meant to be played, because John Marston was on a road to redemption. So doing good things and gaining a good reputation was a goal. The next game could be the other side of the coin.

I hope he has a crisis of conscience or something; maybe playing a role in John's eventual separation from Dutch's crew. I don't mind blowing up some **** in GTA and/or playing the role of a bastard in spots, but I'd like some semblance of virtue involved for the character (particularly coming off RDR), even if limited to doing 'wrong' things for the 'right' reason. Just being an ******* throughout would seem to get old for me.

I do enough of that in real life.

Some of the gameplay mechanics look good though, dual revolvers and bows.
And the graphics look miles better than GTA.
