Eternals Rotten Tomatoes watch thread

But you can't say it's an accurate number if not all reviews have scores.

One F score can drastically effect an average rating, likewise an A+.

When the sample size gets large enough, yes you can. Unless there's some sort of bias to the reviews that don't have scores.

That's statistics.

I feel like we're going in circles, but you can't say it's a completely accurate number if not all reviews have aggregated scores. It's not like metacritic.

The amount of reviews counted hasn't changed for like 24hrs... I keep refreshing the page like eternal.

The user rating provides a second opinion which is sometimes necessary.

For example critics gave Blade a rotten rating but users gave it almost an 80 percent. I think the critics were flat out wrong here.

And I've found that the most accurate rating for me is to average or combine the critic and user rating.

So yeah definitely keep the user rating. The imdb user rating is another story. Too much review bombing.

OK, but how prevalent was Rotten Tomatoes and user ratings for Blade in 1998?

3 reviews came today, 2 rotten, 1 fresh. Its just a matter of time to enter the rotten area. :argh:

I never liked any of the Blade films. So those rotten ratings lined up to my thoughts.

Man, reading some of the reactions on here and other parts have been pretty hilarious. It’s not the end of the world if Eternals ends up rotten

The fact people still care about what critics think is ridiculous. Go watch the movie and make up your own mind

Ehh, I think the extremes are important. the 90% and the sub 30% are good indicators generally.

I was looking at my Marvel file (in which I list down Marvel RT scores/boX office numbers) and damn.... this movie already has a lower rating than Spider-Man 3 and near the Rt rating of X3.

This could go down to low 50s. This film is going to be infamous isn't it?

I care about what critics think when I'm reading a well written review. I don't care about a number.

Yes after 20 films they made a movie that isn’t universally loved. It’s the end for them.

I know you're being sarcastic. But the real response is, after 1 film they made a movie that wasn't universally loved.

The rt streak is broken eternal.

I hope this is a 1 time thing.

Imagine if Marvel’s Fantastic Four gets these type of reviews.

On one hand, it would still be the best reception a Fantastic Four movie has ever received, but on the other hand it would suck tremendously that not even Marvel can make a well received F4 film.

Any rando can start up a blog and become a verified RT "critic" apparently

Or Marvel Studios' X-Men.

Yeah like I said before, the internet would implode if this happened 1st with F4/Mutants.

I just hope MCU movies with a rotten rating doesn't happen often as there will be a 2nd and a third.

I mean even Pixar(which has a similar winning streak with critics) has a rotten film as Cars 2 has a 40% RT score, and they returned to form with certified fresh movies. No Way Home will absolutely get good critics reviews.
