Drama Royal Pains

I'm kind of thinking that Eddie showed up to mooch off of them but is genuinely starting to crave a connection to his sons again because of how Evan has embraced him. If anything, I think Hank's disapproval might cause him to do something stupid (like run another con on the boys) for revenge.
Nah. I think Eddie's getting angry because Hank is absolutely correct in thinking that Eddie has an angle as that's why he's back again. I don't think it will lead to him doing something stupid.... as then it will make Hank completely right, which I get from the show is trying to say is wrong.

Maybe Eddie is dying and hopes his doctor son will help him out.

I think Eddie being sick is a strong possibility, but it would also kinda overshadow the whole Boris' illness subplot. I maintain Eddie is planning to scam his kids but will back out.

Eddie definitely has some angle for being there, I could see him possibly being sick and that's why he wants to be near Hank. What do you think about this new girl running Hank Med? Could be interesting.

I am not feeling the "Evan gets kidnapped," plot at all. Just a bit much.

What was up with all the homoeroticism with Hank and Boris?

I'm predicting that Boris is going to have to get Evan out of trouble, which is going to get Evan in huge trouble with Hank.

doubtful cause the previews show hank trying to save Boris's life. I'm feeling Evan got taken cause they think he's a doctor.

I don't know...I can kind of seeing it based on the character and how he does tend to get himself into bad situations.

Looks aside, she's coming off a bit anal. But perhaps that's what the writers are trying to convey to viewers.

I don't like her condesending attitude towards Divya personally.

She looks kind of hurt when she tore up the card in front of her. I think the chick needs to learn more about people. She really is work focused. So her developing more into a more free spirited person will be apart of the series I guess.

Yeah, but I would've preferred for him to get arrested. It would've been more down to Earth and it would fit with Hank's warning earlier in the episode.

I thought she looked pretty good in the role, but I definitely did not like her personality. I'm interested to see how, if at all, Boris' relationship with Hank changes now that Hank saved his life from that treatment, I think will see a lot more trust.

Oh, ugh, is Hank actually attracted to that other concierge doctor? :csad:

Good episode otherwise, though.

Yeah, the possible Jill/Hank/Concierge doctor love triangle is annoying me. Especially since that woman seems to be everything Hank loathes about medicine.

Exactly, there's no reason Hank should actually like her. She's pretty but she's ethically challenged, to say the least, and she's incredibly obnoxious.

It's annoying me because outside of the "doctor" attraction to Hank, it appears that the writers are trying to make him out to be some sort of ladies magnet. Seriously? Boris is smoother than Hank.

IMO, he still lacks the charisma and presence as a leading man to be that convincing.

That's true. Hank is easily the weakest aspect of the show. He is just so damn dry.

I have to say Jill because other than her relationship with Hank she has nothing to do
Divya and Evan have HankMed and then their own storylines
But Jill is nothing. You could drop her from the show and not much would be missed

Definitely true last season after she and Hank broke it off, but I think the new proposal for HankMed to be a part of her free clinic is a clear attempt to rectify that problem. Also, she's incredibly hot and I'm shallow enough to want her to stay for that reason alone. :D

Hank still can tap that again. He did already, but still, he can commit. Damn, I would. How could you honestly leave a woman looking like that out in the dust?

:funny: True.

This episode is absolutely bizarre. Its a nice change of pace though. Still, Hank is entirely out of character. Between hooking up with blonde doctor, his drive for revenge, and treating a patient while having been drinking, none of these actions really fit Hank.

I agree. The writers should be real careful on trying to force mannerisms on Hank that the character just doesn't exude. The actor just isn't convincing enough to be anything other than straight-laced.
Just my opinion.
WTF? Hank all of a sudden has a relationship with the hot new doc as if the Jill thing never mattered? I'm not buying that he can have any woman that playfully throws him a smile; hopefully this blonde doctor is only trying to weaken his defenses and inevitably use him for her own professional gain. That would make future eps interesting.
