As to what he should wear, I still say this - IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHEN HE TRANSFORMS!!! If Dr. Conners himself has a thing for purple pants in the laboratory - fine. If he transforms in the middle of his ballet performance - also fine - the fact of the matter is that IT DOESN'T MATTER!!! It's clothes, people! If he were anything like a real lizard, he'd probably tear those clothes off anyway...;)

"Hmph -- needle nose gavial doesn't stand a chance against the stylin' studly Lizard..."

'Tis true - but even the "Stylin' Studly Lizard" cannot compare to the "COOL 50's CAIMAN"!!!:D ;)

Hey, Dr. Conners oughta look like THAT when he transforms!!! (Laughing)

Holy ****. It's a lizard-like Howard Stern. *Shock*

Alright, that does it - THAT is the way the Lizard should look in Spiderman 3 - WHO'S WITH ME!?:D :p

While we're posting "art", as it were, here's a couple weekend treats for the Lizard fans out there:

asm6p16.jpg

The original Ditko art from ASM # 6, pg 16 where Lizzy makes the ridiculous assertion that he has the powers of every different type of lizard on earth.

MTU19art.jpg

Original Gil Kane art from Marvel Team-Up #19, page 3 where Dr. Connors tells Spidey about the ill-fated experiments of Dr. Vincent Stegron and refers to his own reptilian alter-ego as "The Lethal Lizard" for the first time in the Spidey comics.

Here's a way they could have GG2 and the Lizard in the same movie:

It starts with Spider-Man finally starting to repair his damaged reputation and popular media even starting to wonder if he is such a menace as everyone thinks.

The Lizard and is sighted a few times and atacks some people. Spider-Man initially goes after him but through time discovers the Lizard is Doc Connors and so tries to help his friend while keeping people safe from the Lizard.

At the same time Harry is battleing with the idea of Peter being Spider-Man and his dad being the Green Goblin. He slowly beings to lose his sanityand eventually decided to destroy Spider-Man, but he wants to do it without hurting Peter. Somehow, whether through funding Doc Connors or some other way, Harry finds out that Connors is the Lizard and knows that Peter will try to help him. Becoming the Green Goblin (more advanced with a better costume and glyder) Harry goes after the Lizard. The Lizard is now a villan in minds of the people and wanted for murder or what not. When Spider-Man tries to defend the Lizard from the Goblin Spidey becomes a villian and Goblin a good guy. This way Harry hopes that Pete will be forced to give being Spider-Man because the police are really hunting him now and the entire city has turned on him. This way he can destroy Spider-Man while Peter Parker remains safe, well atleast it all makes sense in Harry's mind.

Now Spider-Man must fight the Lizard in order to keep the people safe, he must fight the people/police/GG to keep Connors safe. All the while he has to try not to die himself.

After Spider-Man defeats the Lizard he clears his name and exposes Goblin for the villian that he his. This sends Harry back into sulking. Then Peter asks Mary Jane to marry him and she says yes. Now this causes Harry to think Peter has stolen MJ away forever making him want to destroy both Peter and Spider-Man. The movie ends thus setting the stage for Spider-Man 4 with Green Goblin 2 vs. Spider-Man.

Those are just my thoughts.

^ Spidey trying to defend Lizard/Connors and appearing to be evil could be a good plot point...

Yes, Lizard, I have to agree - a bit raw in places, but definitely on to something there, SuperDude!!! I think the only problem I have with that is this: 2 GG's are bad enough - I don't want to be set up for a third one!!!:D

Other than that, VERY NICE, man!

EDIT: Sorry, my post belonged in the Spidey Products forum

I think there's plenty of arguments already given within this thread to counterpoint any "Anti-Lizard" arguments that might theoretically pop up. ;)

You mean, such as "he has no personality?"

Or, " he's the third scientist in a row to have an experiment go wrong?"

Or even, "we're sick of green villains?"

Lame arguments, in my opinion...:D

i kno. Whenever people say about experiments go wrong, i always say "Wut about radioactivty giving powers? we have 6 popular characters that happens to and and wut? 3 or 4 'experiments go wrong' "

Call me a senile 18-year-old if you want, but for the life of me, I can't think of what 6 you are referring to:(...could you tell me which ones you mean?

Hmmmm... if he means Spidey characters that were given powers by radioactivity...I'll take a shot

Spidey

Sandman

Doc Ock

Swarm

Scorpion (technological, chemical, and radioactive origin)

um.....Fusion ? (only appeared in ASM #208)

Maybe Spidey-Boy523 meant Marvel characters in general that got radioactive powers-- I think that list is a lot longer than 6... :D

Let's solve this mystery...(puts on Sherlocke At-Homes hat and smokes fake pipe)...without Spidey-Boy helping us...;)

According to Spidey-Boy523, he stated this:
Whenever people say about experiments go wrong, i always say "Wut about radioactivty giving powers? we have 6 popular characters that happens to and and wut? 3 or 4 'experiments go wrong' "

(paces room)

So, from what What-son and I gather (I know the correct spelling - this is a joke, people), Spidey-Boy523 IS IN FACT referring to 6 POPULAR MARVEL CHARACTERS that somehow originated from radioactivity's effects...obviously, in order for the characters to be popular, they would have to be in some sort of motion-picture media...meaning...the 6 would have to include the Hulk and Spiderman. Also, if we broadened our search query, we'd discover that a multitude of comic-book characters did in fact result from radioactivity...some of which were thoughtfully provided by my contact, "The Lizard." So, in conclusion, I have ascertained this, from all evidence being considered...

I DON'T KNOW WHAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT!!!! (Throws down hat and fake pipe in disgust at his ineptitude) ;)

Spidey-Boy523, you have, in fact, stumped us with your statement. PLEASE tell me what you're talking about!!!

People often nag about villians being results of 'experiments go wrong' with GG, Ock and Lizard. I always rebuttal with 'radioactivity'. Spidey, Hulk, and the F4 were given their powers (or curses) by radioactive objects (spiders and rays).

thats as clear as i can make it.

You forgot Daredevil. He deserves to be mentioned along with the elite. :(

I know this a thread "for" Lizard in Spiderman 3, but I just thought of a valid argument...

You see, Dr. Conners' character has not been developed very highly - if they DEVELOP it during 3, and THEN have him as the Lizard in 4, than I think that would be best. After all, how are we supposed to feel sorry for him when we barely know him? Feeling sympathy for him is a big part of enjoying the whole "Lizard" thing. Just a thought...

I felt Sympathy for Ock, and we didn't see him before this movie. They can pull it off.
