Although, when you get right down to it, Sammael was pretty much just a cross between the Predator and the monster from the movie Relic.

I never saw the movie "Relic," but I did read the book - that monster looks NOTHING like the book described!!!

I have to admit that - bad reviews or not, - I'm going to go see Alien vs Predator this weekend if for no other reason than to take notes during the fight scenes to see how the action and CGI are handled.

I probably will too - just not for the same reasons. Comingsoon.net's reviews I have always agreed with thusfar, and they act like it's a decent monster film, which is more than I can say for many nowadays.

I know movie-makers appreciate your existance, "The Lizard." You go to certain movies no matter HOW bad they might be.

Iksar lizardman from the upcoming Everquest 2 game.

The Iksar are pretty cool looking, but their snouts are too blunt and I'm not crazy about the stubby horns on their heads. The look is fine for a fantasy lizardman, but the Lizard should be more sleek.

^^True, and the Lizard should also look less like a scaley human who just happens to have a Lizard's head.

At least he isn't entirely CGI...

I just thought of something that depressed me. You now it could possibly be another two years before we even find out who the baddie will be in Spider-Man 3?! Man...how bad is this wait going to suck?!

I know...I remember scouring the internet and movie-magazines constantly for who the bad guy was gonna be in Spiderman 2 IMMEDIATELY after I saw Spiderman 1. It is gonna be rough...

Maybe someone will slip and let us know something soon. A leaked script... a public comment...anything!

I'm almost 99% certain that Harry will be there as GG2 after the ending to part 2, but there may be someone else, and I want to make sure it isn't Typrface, Frogman, or the Trapster or someone lame like that. I'm sure it won't be, but then again, I thought that Batman 3 had a chance to be good as well...how did that turn out again?

I still say that Sam Raimi WANTS us to think that it's gonna be Harry as GG in 2 - I'm waiting for a surprise entrance from someone...

I have so many favorites, it would be hard to dissappoint me. I would like to see the GOblin legacy finished before the original cast leaves, though.

Yeah, I'm that way too - I love and/or tolerate the vast majority of Spiderman's villains, except for a select few:

Black Cat (sort of a villain)
and...
KINGPIN!!! (He just fits Daredevil's universe better to me, for some reason)

Of course, there are your purposely-stupid villains, like Rocket Racer, Kangaroo, and people of that nature - but that's all done tongue-in-cheek. So, as a result, as long as they don't JUST do another Goblin, I should be pretty satisfied. Though if they REALLY wanted to make me happy, they'd make MYSTERIO in a Spiderman movie as soon as possible.

I have to admit, Mysterio could make a very cool Spidey movie villain.

Since this is a Lizard thread, here's how I'd like to see him first appear (I wrote it for Vermin at first, but it could be just as cool with the lizard) :

On a rainy night, Peter hears a strange noise coming from a dark and lonely alley. He goes in.

Peter: Is anyone in there?

In the dark and under the rain, Peter discovers a lizard in human shape eating the chest of a young woman. Only the sound of the woman's cracking bones and her flesh being devoured can be heard. Having noticed Peter's presence, the monster turns his sinister head toward the stranger. Blood pours from his mouth. Peter's petrified. The creature's big red eyes look directly in Peter's direction.

Peter: I… I... I should go now...

The green lizard let go of the remaining corpse and jumps toward Peter, his mouth wide open with blood all over on his teeth!

What happens next is the very first clash between Lizard and Spider-man. Brutal and bloody, it should show us a side of Peter we had never seen before in the movies. Peter's scared and only wants to survive, rather than wanting to stop Lizard.

Now THAT'S the Lizard movie I'd love to see.
