SM3 Lizard Discussion

Spider-man 3 will probably bring the birth of the lizard, as I see, Electro will probably be the new villian.

My guess is Electro, and maybe the GG 2.

At the very end of S-M3, we see Dr. Conners transformation. His right lizard hand reaching up over the Lab table, then end titles.

That's how I want it. No one I talk to seems to agree with me though.

I think it would be awesome if they made a little tip of that hat to Predator by having Spider-Man say to Lizard (upon first seeing him) "You're one ugly mother..." and then the Lizard could roar or something.

Hm, you guys talk about how Lizard or maybe some other villian should be in SM3, not GG2. But i doubt that would be even possible. SM3 MUST include GG2, whether it is lame or not, it has to have GG2 somewhere.

Logically, SM3 SHOULD/MUST be set chroniclogically, a few days, weeks, or just months after SM2. Think about it, with Harry knowing the truth about Peter/SM, is it going to likely at all that they will remain friends for a year or two? I think Harry in SM3 will likely to be either declared as "missing"/going insane somehow, and not appearing to be the same Harry he was at the beginning of SM2. It's without a doubt that Peter and Harry arent going to be the same buddies as they were before, Harry may probably not even show up in public for anything, only shown to us as a crazy guy going through a phase of indecisions. I doubt SM3 can set place at any time other than right after SM2, just wouldnt work with Harry's discovery of the "cave" for the GG gear and Parker's idenity.

Just some food for thoughts, its very late here, sorry if what i typed doesnt make that much sense. I'll repost it later with better construction.

Man-Wolf sucks. I never truly liked that character at all.

I think we all know that GG2 is going to be the bad guy, or one of the bad guys, but I think it would be total foolishness not to put the Lizard in the movie. He's such a cool villain, in terms of looks and powers. Not to mention that we have sen GG on screen before, and it would be a nice incentive to the viewers to give us another villain to feast our eyes on.

Nope, they have to add a 'NEW' villain with every film, that's the way Spider-Man's franchise is set up. They could also have GG2, but they would have to have THE LIZARD or another character, most likely 'The Lizard' as the main villain.

Again I say, Sony/Marvel could lose 10s to 100s of millions with their licensees if they only have The Goblin 2 (even with a new suit), their licensees will want to produce new products based on a villain they don't already have. Which is not only smart movie-wise, but business-wise, as well.

Why do so many artists and sculptors depict lizardmen with different numbers of fingers and toes?

the lizard is perfect for spiderman 3 because it gives more drama to the fact that harry found out all this stuff in part 2 to make him disappear for a while and for no one to know where he is...obviously this movie has to be pretty recent in terms of the end of spiderman 2...but that's fine. the lizard is perfect also because he's just a kick ass villain. imagine an awesome fight with that friggin tail in the sewers or something, that would be kick ass.

so harry is gone somewhere brooding or going completely nuts. oscorp is struggling to maintain itself, peter is dying of guilt because of harry and mj is there to try and support him, or better yet, she finds out about harry and things get extremely complicated. dr. conners flips out trying to get his damned arm back and becomes the lizard...spidey gets some good action sequences in, figures out it's connors, more guilt over trying to get him back to normal because of connors' family...etc. etc. we could also have peter at the bugle covering a big space expedition to the moon that jj's son is doing....if you know where i'm getting at.

that sounds like a pretty friggin good movie.

ok, so part 4...as we've been eluding to...jj's son comes back with this mysterious moon rock or whatever....we could just adapt that episode of the animated series where the rocket crashes and spiderman is there to save them. in the explosions or something, some of the specimens from the moon explode or melt or whatever and get on spidey's costume. blah blah blah, he discovers this suit and loves it. he wears the black suit for the rest of the movie where...TA DA!!! harry is back and he's completely mental. more guilt, mj's in danger now, aunt may is in danger now...peter's personal life is colliding with his life as spiderman again and the results are disasterous. maybe harry gets better, maybe he gets committed after spidey beats him...maybe peter feels a bit better that he's trying to help harry, maybe not. if that's not enough drama for you....how about aunt may gets a stroke and dies (that might not be how it was in the comic...but you get the idea).

part 5...spiderman begins to realize the deal with the symbiote suit and gets rid of it....guess who finds it...haha. the plot thickens. throw in a rivalry with eddie brock at the bugle for jj's approval or whatever. brock already hates peter's guts...and once he finds the suit and starts to feel like somebody who's not a total loser, spiderman gets in the way and venom starts hating spiderman.....so venom hates spiderman/brock hates peter...beautiful. meanwhile peter is still dealing with aunt may's death...the house, all that stuff....and we could even throw in a love interest from brock towards mj for that little extra flavor. eventually identities are discovered and things clash miraculously. brock ends up in jail and the suit is still on him. guess who's his cell mate...or who has the cell next to him.

part 6...venom escapes and carnage is born. spidey fights carnage alone a bit and then eventually venom teams up with him. the tension over mj and the job at the bugle is still there, harry is getting worse at the mental ward and it doesn't look good. carnage is killing LOTS of people. we have a great centerpiece between carnage, venom and spidey where they're all duking it out a la Superman II downtown brawl. it's kick ass. this movie has got to be epic. how about giving peter a nervous breakdown or something...he doesn't know if he can handle all of this. jj's still hating him and making him look like a criminal. he ends up triumphant, but still a little quirky and ****ed up....and the glue holding him together is obviously mj...it's great.

obviously i'm no screenwriter, but i think that's a pretty interesting direction for the films to go...don't know what you guys think.
