One problem Is trying to buy the Idea of Kristen Stewart being viewed as more beautiful
than Charlize Theron.Just too hard to buy.

She isn't as beautiful, but Kristen does have a more sombre beauty that can come out with the right look and at the right age....

Correction; people in the Middle Ages didn't live in an era of glam and weren't exposed to obscene amounts of beauty products.

That's if you take things literally. One interpretation can be that the Queen's vanity and jealousy towards Snow White prevents her from being a beautiful person (as a whole, i.e. beauty is not just skin deep).

Another possible explanation is that the Queen asks 'who is the fairest of them all', in which Kristen Stewart's casting makes sense since she is even paler than vampires. :D

but to be fair kristen is not ugly she has a more unconventional beauty and i think it fits well with the more darker tone they are going with
I don't think anyone is saying she is ugly, because she isn't. Quite pretty, but nowhere near the Charlize level.

The trailer was alright. I'm not entirely convinced but I like what I'm seeing.

Thor vs Twilight? no thanks

Did you even see the trailer? Im asking because is is such a weord, broad comment.

The trailer's surprisingly imagative. It may be good, it maybe bad....but it's on my radar now.

I'm just surprised by the amount of CGI done already and how good they looked. Didn't this have a late, rushed schedule?

So did X-Men: First Class, and look how that turned out.

As for the movie, I'm not so sure about it. Fairy Tale movies injected with action don't really pull me in. I might see this if it convinces me, but I will most likely go see Jack the Giant Killer and maybe Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters.

First Class start their shoot in Sept 2010 for a June 2011 release while Snow White started in late July 2011 for a June 2012 release. So First Class's schedule was very extreme and lacked the polished it needed.

Here the CG looks damn polished which makes me think their pre-production was up to snuff.

I was kinda skeptical about this movie before the I'd seen this trailer and now I just might add this to the list of movies to see next year. Hope to see more Snow White in the next trailer though.

Visually it's quite intriguing. The way the director and co. have imagined the Queen's world, her mirror, her way of changing appearances is really interesting and cool in a trippy way.

As a film it does not look like Thor or Twilight. It looks like a weird studio-conference room hybrid of what they think Lord of the Rings was crossed with Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.

I'm not sure about this.

Every review of this film will mention Mirror Mirror next year. Hopefully in a positive light but how objective will the response be I wonder.

Anyways I'm curious why this should interest anyone more than those Narnia films. Kids acting like they're in medievil films. And evil witches sending spells in the form of creatures to kill them.

^I don't know how old you are (your definition of "kid") but everyone here seems to be a young adult or older. Not to mention, Narnia was never dark or serious for that matter. So if the movie's tone is consistent with the trailer, it will appeal to a much wider demographic

Anyhow, I think Kristen Stewart will end up being like Kirsten Dunst in the Spider-man films, where everyone was saying how beautiful her character was and the audience is just like: wtf!?
And its not that Kristen Stewart is ugly (I don't think she is pretty either but certainly not ugly) but when you start making it out like she is the most beautiful person in the film when shes right next to someone who is actually beautiful like Charlize Theron....well, it looks a bit ridiculous.

Btw, does anybody get Pan's Labrynith vibes from the Mirror? I love it!

no, your statement is ridiculous, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that crazy improv music stuff...I actually prefer the Twlight woman's look to CT's, I appreciate CT's beauty, no doubt, but the only movie I ever really fancied her in was Aeon Flux, and i think that was because of the dyed black hair, don't ask me why, don't know, how can you explain these things, just gut reaction attraction of the tv crush kind.
Anyway, i feel a bit like Han solo in star wars when he is about to shoot that intercom...haha, i don't usually bother talking about crap like this on the net, everbody fancies who they fancy, and that is it! it is not science! we are not robots of the same design! did captain obvious really need to swoop in with this info?!
