Charlize Theron looks like she is having so much fun playing this role.

I wonder why it is those knights are shattering into pieces in the early clips in the trailer. What is up with that?

^they are the queens shadow army from what i gather
Right. So it's clever trailer editing that makes it seem like its the evil queen's army doing the conquering. :cwink:

I also must say I'm also really glad Kristen's hair is tied back when she's fighting. :oldrazz:

Loved the new trailer and 5 minutes of footage, the colourful fantasy forest looked great and the Dwarves seem fun. The action looks top notch and this confirmed the action featurette part where Hemsworth and Kristen were getting thrown about by a seemingly invisible force, was indeed the troll fight, which looks awesome.

Theron seems to be having a blast and the guy playing Fang is creepy, I'm glad they chose not to show a full shot of him in White Wolf form. I'm guessing that thing made up of shards of glass at the end was the Mirror Man in solidified form?

I don't know; I thought that might have actually been the Queen, since it looks like she can shapeshift and disappear and such.

i think i know why i love this film

this is basically what i want my legend of zelda movie to look like !!!

-a hero/heroine finding themselves in an adventure traveling across big landscapes
-big castles,and big sword battles
-companions following you in your journey
-ton of fantasy elements with fairies and odd looking otherworldly creatures
etc.

Looks cool but I still think they should of just abandoned the Snow White aspect and made a 100% original fantasy movie. Charlize looking great.

Now I understand why they give Kirsten Stewart such few lines in the trailers.... :lmao:

Anyways, that trailer kind of made me curious what a live action Princess Mononoke movie would look like

^don't get your joke she seems fine and her accent is quite good as well:dry:

but peope will always bash her

it is just too easy and lazy i guess nothing she can do people already made up thier minds on her as an actress

Or maybe she is just awkward?
"Easy and lazy"....ummm wtf!? Sorry I disappoint you. Next time I will work REALLY hard to express my opinion

I'm not a fan of Kristen Stewart, but I thought she actually did a fairly good job in the stuff that was shown. She actually shows emotion, for once. :woot:

It's pretty obvious Universal are trying to downplay Kristen Stewart's presence in the movie as much as possible. They are trying to cater this movie to boys and people that hate Twilight. Let's face it, they've made that abundantly clear the way they are selling the movie. I'm not saying that is right, but that is what they are doing and emphasizing Hemsworth and Theron to bring in the teenage and older male audience instead.

They want the LOTR crowd not the Twilight crowd.

Has the five minutes of footage been released?

Theron is awesome. But yea that music is waaaaaay too blatant a rip off of Inception. At least try to change it up a little bit.

I heard it before too, it's actually a redo of Mind Heist by Danny Cocke called "World Collapsing." I loved it.

Yea i'm not saying it's bad or anything, but I mean, it's just too blatant of a redo.

I thought it was just me who thought the music sounded a little too Inception-ish.

I don't think they're downplaying Stewart, she's there more than Hemsworth and is definitely marketed to the crowd that calls her "KStew." She just is never seen brooding or doing Twilight things so as to open it up as an action movie. The trailer focuses on Charlize Theron because her performance looks to be dynamite and she is simply stunning (the biggest flight of fancy in this is that Stewart is fairer than Theron). Her performance looks like it will steal the show.

So it's sold on that performance cut with epic fight scenes and Bella Swann wielding a sword. Will probably be a big hit.

Personally, I think it's brilliant for the marketing dept. to focus on Theron and Hemsworth, and gives less screentime to Stewart. Like it or not, Kristen Stewart is still very closely associated with the Twilight series, especially since Breaking Dawn pt. 2 is just around the corner. Like The Hunger Games, SWATH doesn't want to be perceived as a Twilight movie, so they sought to distant themselves with those movies even though they have a major actor from Twilight as one of their leads. I think Kristen Stewart will be featured more prominently later on, but only once the movie has established itself in the minds of the GA a little more firmly.

I question how interested the Twilight crowd would actually be about this film whether Kristen is in this or not.

Let's be honest, is Stewart the biggest star of the Twilight movies? The fanbase is a bunch of ravenous fangirls who are probably green with envy. It's Pattinson and Lautner that draw all the girls in i'd imagine. Bella Swan is nothing but a replaceable cypher.

Thanks for the link Project. Good stuff. Though quite spoilery so I'm surprised they released it.

Definitely looks like they re-wrote the Huntsman role a lot since they got Hemsworth for the role. Also where is the prince character?
