Yea but considering that is a set pic and his eyes are visible there too while we know for a fact that there are white lenses.... Let's hope to dear God that we can't see his mouth in the actual film.

If that's what you mean by "seeing his mouth" then I welcome it! To be honest, I hated that the last costume used a face piece... It may have given it a consistent Spidey face, but sometimes it just didn't look right...

I'm pretty sure they won't be so visible that they would be a distraction though...

Oh, now I can see the mouth. Funny how I never noticed that in that picutre until now.

yeah, you can see a little of the mouth. But the amount you can see the mouth is so tiny that it doesn't almost make any difference

I've just seen an official picture of the new costume from Sony and if this is the best they can do, then I feel I am going to be disappointed. I noticed they have left the bottom of the boots too dark to see the "silver slippers" which are over the soles/heel/toe of the boots. In fact everywhere the new costume significantly deviates from the original seems to be deliberately dark and obscured.

About the only thing I do like are the inclusion of mechanical web shooters.

I am also wondering what is that on the thumb of the glove? Is it a switch or a sticky pad, what?

I call that good advertising. Ever go on Facebook and see a butterface? her pictures are all of her chest and up, you don't want to show 'flaws'.

This wouldn't work, probably why they didn't follow through with it in Raimi's Spider-Man. You wouldn't be able to see the trigger in the glove and it would look funny.

Honestly, reboot Spidey suit > Ditko.
Nothing against Ditko's design, but never cared for armpit webbing, and his blue clashes horribly with the red; granted, I'm sure it's because the time-frame, but even to that I say that time is over for a reason. And for those saying it's supposed to be black, not a fan and with the argument so many haters of the movie suit have, Spidey has mostly used blue, not black.
With that said, it is a good design, I just thing the movie design is better and still recognizable to be Spidey.
