Ah, so you're one of those...
What do you mean "one of those"? Under altered I do not understand complete revamp.

The lack of belt and those eyes are my two biggest criticisms. Its got nothing to do with not being faithful to the comics. They both just look weird.
EDIT: The silver things on his feet suck too.
red portions similar (not necessarily identical) to the comics - check
webbing on the red portions - check
blue - check
trademark eye shape - check
emblem on the front and the back - check
B**ching about how the suit isn't faithful is really really silly.

More tighter- check
Seriously, THAT'S a complaint you have over the suit? That it's tighter?
Yeah....Welcome to the Superhero Hype.![]()

even taking these into consideration, it's still a very faithful costume. i'd argue that Captain America's costume is less faithful and i'd still describe his costume as 'faithful'...No white eyes - check
No belt- check
Sliver shoes- check
MORE tighter huh? is there anyway you could get MORE pickier? Spidey's costume is suppose to be skin tight.More tighter- check
please tell me you're just parodying the ridiculousness of the Hype. This is just..wrong.

When the eyes change, yes, it's a design change since the eyes of the suit are FROM THE SUIT. So, yes, eyes going from big and round to more of what Sam Raimi did is a costume design change. As well with the underarm webbing. Those two are all part of the costume and if you don't think such then you're not thinking straight my friend. It may as well be a writer's liability to change what they must, but it's still departing itself from the usual way we see of Spidey.
I'm not saying they aren't very small changes, but when you see the suit, you will still think of him as Spider-Man, even if the gloves are different, the boots are different and there are some subtractions on the suit but also additional stuff to it. It still looks like Spider-Man, albeit not as comic-friendly as Raimi's, but it does look similar to some of Spidey's other costumes and also to Ben Reilly.
Now, sure did Webb have to change the suit just for the sake of changing? No, and I will say 'no', but I am liking the suit a lot myself. It fixed some problems I had with Raimi's suit, but I am liking the additional stuff to it. Say I'm not a true fan if I like the new suit, I don't care, I do like it.

Wrong again. Artistic license doesn't qualify and the fact that you think so just to justify your argument is really mind boggling.

Oh please, at least one more time!
I predict that they will make a new costume for the sequel because of all the hatred, one that's more like the comic book costume, and they will do it like this:
(after credits scene) After the last battle the costume is really really torn, he almost starts repairing it but then he stops to think, starts digging his drawer, he finds a sketchbook, and when he puts it on the table, we see that it has an older concept of the costume, then it zooms a little on Peters face and he smiles a little, then it cuts to black
