ah, if it was blue it's possible it would bleed in with the rest of the blue on the costume. The green would just look way too out of place and unneccessary. The black adds more shading and makes things smaller.

Only time it's looked off to me was in set photos, but yeah, the post-production work wasn't done in them.

No I meant the crotch area. If it was just blue like the rest of the costume it would have been better. They made a big deal over nothing with all the bulge business. lol.

You can only discuss a costume so much before you get hooked on the crotch. That's when it might be time to just let the thread die. I mean everything has been said about the costume. Some people like Raimi's better, some like this one better, some want to see this in action before they make a final judgement and some care enough about a dark crotch to talk about it for 3 or 4 pages :P


We should just resurrect this thread once the costume is seen in a new trailer in a third person view.

Seriously though, I'd love to discuss the mask or something. Do you guys think they'll give an explanation why the lenses switch between reflective and dull? Or will it be like the Raimi movies where they just switch between the two for effect?

I'm hoping it's the latter.

I'm assuming it'll just switch depending on what's going on. I'd prefer reflective lenses at all times though. They just look better to me.

Does anyone else like the black patch on the gloves where he presses down for webbing?

I like it, but I can understand why some may find it too busy or unnecessary (as with the rest of the glove design).

Btw, I just thought, if there would be a black costume in this series, what it would look like? Would it have huge changes from the original like the regular costume? Judging by the current design of the costume they wouldn't be afraid to do that

Haven't even thought about that actually. Given the style of this suit though, I have high hopes for what they'd do with the symbiotic suit.

I think we're more likely to get a symbiote suit closer to the comic version with this suit.

It already has the large logo. The symbiote corrupts him slowly. His suit could gradually distort into the "classic" symbiote suit over the course of the movie.

To be honest I wouldn't mind if anything that was red turned white and everything blue turned black with the back spider being white and the front spider being white. That'd look ****ing sick IMO.

Reflective eyes on a symbiote suit would look awesome.

Might try a simple colour swap, and maybe the distorted look I was talking about. But later, it's too damn late... adios for now.
