I like this new costume. Unlike someone like Superman, I could actually see someone trying to disguise themselves with it realistically. It actually fits like a uniform.

agreed. And also we must also remember that he did it for wrestling, which would explain the new belt/leg stripes design

It doesn't make him look like a Roman/Green god or cosmonaut like most superheros from before World War II. It doesn't seem nearly as corney looking, I think Spider-Man may have the best costume of them all.

Have we noticed the difference in neck-line betweem ^ and ↓

neither seem that convenient for underneath a tshirt tbf..

That's actually a very good catch, can't believe nobody picked up on that!

Wonder why there's two. Hope they stick to just one in the movie for continuity purposes. :funny:

I never noticed the difference, good eye there.

@SM6592: I know.

One looks like it's made to be without the mask, and the other looks like it's had its masked ripped off.

Fair enough. To me, one just looks like it was made without a mask, and one has simply had its mask removed.

What's the difference? On both suits, the masks are off, so why would one look different than the other?

I'm talking about the necklines.

One neckline doesn't have a webline running across it, and a lower cut suggesting the mask would "fill" in that area. One neckline does having a webline running across, and a "cleaner" look if you will.

I'm not saying that's how they actually were, I'm saying what it looks like.

Look at this to get an idea of what I mean.

First shot, what I meant with a suit that doesn't have a high neckline, and something like this would fit into it.

Second shot, "cleaner" look.

Sorry if this sounds confusing, just trying to get you to see what I mean. :funny:

I'm still a bit confused, but I guess I kind of see what you're saying? lol

lol Good point you brought up, Troy Parker. I also noticed that ever since in the first movie when Peter ripped his shirt to reveal the costume underneath (similar to Superman ripping his shirt to change), but I never actually pointed that out. There was no neckline when he did that, but in other shots, we clearly see that there is a neckline. This would lead us to believe what you brought up: there are multiple suits for the movie - one without neckline (intended for without the mask), and the other with the neckline (intended for the mask).

THis is true. But what about the kissing scene in the first movie of Spider-man. He had a neckline when mary jane Rolled off a little of his mask.

I remember in the commentary (or somewhere) hearing that they ruined one of the masks for that scene. Guess they don't roll as easy as they look, lol.

They actually switch masks in that scene, it's why you never see MJ roll his mask back down properly.

He has the "seamless" looking suit before, then it cuts to one where the mask is tucked into the suit with the high neckline.

One on the left is the mask that drapes all the way down his neck (you can see something similar in the screen I posted from SM3). This was tucked into the high neckline suit. You can see that it wasn't on properly because it looks a little odd, the mask is raised higher on his head.

The one on the right is the one where they cut to the seamless suit/mask.

I hate that shirt ripping scene. He rips his shirt in broad daylight with hundreds of people around. I know there's a lot of panic but seriously not one person notices. Superman should be the only one to be able to do the shirt ripping.

Maybe he just likes the occasional v-neck. Let's not judge him.

I think it could just be the case where promotional shots were taken during pre-production, then the suit was changed once it was finalized for production.
