After the way that Spider-Man 3 went, I don't. Had Spider-Man 3 gone differently (y'know, better)? I would be against this reboot 110%.
What I don't get is, almost everyone wanted a reboot after Spider-Man 3... and they got exactly that. So what's the problem? lol
I think it's a bit too soon. I mean, Batman Begins wasn't released until 8 years after Batman & Robin, and 16 years after Batman. Hell, Batman was a reboot, and it came out 23 years after the previous incarnation. That time meant that most of the audience had forgotten the prior series by the time the reboot came. They were fresh to receive the new series.
However it's only been 5 years since Spider-Man 3, and only 10 years after Spider-Man. This means audiences probably won't see the new Spider-Man series through fresh eyes like with the Batman reboots.
