Yeah much better trailer. Is it just me or does that little makeshift ship look like the very first Enterprise, from Star Trek: Enterprise. It reminds me of it at least.

JimmyO from joblo.com was at the paramount studios fan event where the trailer premiered. The studio also showed exclusive footage to those that were at the fan event. Jimmy is supposed to post an article detailing the event and the footage sometime later today.

Great trailer and I'm sensing a perfect line-up of having it be attached with X-Men then TMNT for sure. Just hoping they don't show that much more still. I always really related to the whole Kirk and his Dad angle, so ever since the teaser that's what I'm excited to see more of - diving into who Kirk is - that's why I dug 'Sabotage.'

Timing doesn't surprise me that much either. Similarly there's the event. I'm surprised we got it this early typically it's 3am eastern time not 12, due to time zones and most things going by California time - it going by eastern time is a really rare surprise. Plus, typically announcements state "trailer launching Saturday" then it's some odd time like a 2pm random appearance online. In other words, it's a lot earlier and more calculated than the norm.
