Who is this character? (sorry, don't really know anything about Star Trek.)
Carol Marcus. She was originally in Wrath of Khan. She and Kirk had a relationship which resulted in a child who grew up not knowing Kirk was his father.

New Clip with Kirk and John Harrison.
A great, tension filled scene:

Thanks! Interesting read. Might check out backgrounds for other characters.Carol Marcus. She was originally in Wrath of Khan. She and Kirk had a relationship which resulted in a child who grew up not knowing Kirk was his father.
Wow. Chris Pine didn't deliver in this scene. At all. It seems forced. He's trying to act too hard. Ishhh.
You're maybe right. I've watched it again and it still bothering me tho. Anyway, Cumberbatch did very well. His voice, just wow. I could feel my desktop vibrate while he was speaking.I disagree...but i get where your're coming from.
I think Pine did fine but with Benedict there, he looked like a lightweight whereas Benedict's effortlessly compelling. Pine looked a bit awkward.
If the timeline diverged when Nero went back in time, then why does [BLACKOUT]Khan[/BLACKOUT] look and sound completely different when [BLACKOUT]he and his crew aboard the Botany Bay were put into cryostasis[/BLACKOUT] well before that happened?
empire's review is now up. 4 stars.
Cheers Octoberist! Forgot to include it.

Abrams’ first voyage on the USS Enterprise rescued the franchise from its increasingly niche fan base, the kind of people who endlessly debate Sisko versus Janeway (answer: Picard), and made it cool for everyone.
Check out the print they're giving away at the 8pm Imax showings!
