What site is that? I didn't want to click the link.

It isn't anything special besides Quinto saying there's going to be an even bigger threat than in the first movie. Yup that's basically it

If it follows the same pattern as the first Trek which released its first teaser (with actual footage) with Quantum of Solace in November so I assume we won't see the teaser (and maybe even the real title) until November potentially with Skyfall.

Anyone seen the cool new Star Trek Google doodle game on Google's home page?

its the 46th anniversary of Star Trek

I hope we get to see some more interaction between Kirk, Spock, and McCoy. That was the one major thing the first film was lacking. Sure we saw a few scenes where the three of them interacted together, but not a lot. And in my opinion the best part of TOS were the interactions between the Trek trinity {Kirk/Spock/McCoy}.

The first one was basically Kirk and Spock's movie. Abrams is aware of the trio dynamic, so maybe he'll give Bones his own subplot this time around with the three having to team up. I like how Kirk bothers Spock, Spock doesn't really care for Kirk, and Bones doesn't really care for either of them. I want to see how Spock and Bones get along.

I was entertained by the 2009 movie, but it was not a great film by any means as far as I was concerned. I'm an old school Trekkie.

That being said, yeah, I will most likely go see the next one at the cinema :)
But that is mainly because I am curious how this will look in 3D.

@ Doctor Jones
Do you not agree that it is pretty weird that we are only nine months from release and as of yet there is still no announcement of the title of the movie.

I loved the 2009...to be honest, I felt it really was similiar to old school trek. Kirk was action oriented, they had the trio bromance and strong characters.

As corny as it sounds, I'd be interesting if they called it Star Trek Into Darkness. However, my ideal title would be something ala The Dark Knight like Where No Man Has Gone Before.

Star Trek face palm for terrible Star Trek title.

I have no problem with it. Sounds like the Enterprise is going to do a trek into a dark part of the galaxy, which sounds exciting and fitting for a title.

And thusly, Star Trek becomes an STD, sorry I meant STID... ;)

Don't love the title. Don't hate it. Leaning more towards crummy but... it doesn't matter. Let's see footage, find out how Cumberbatch is playing, etc.

Hopefully the title is missing a colon, it should be Star Trek: Into Darkness.

I hope the teaser trailer for this one will be as epic as the first teaser was.

I remember seeing it in the theaters and got chills when "the music" started playing with those words being said :awesome:

I find it hilarious how Pine was interviewed and said "we're not making Batman here," in reference to them going possibly edgier and darker, then this new title is released.

Not terribly fond of the new title. Is it actually official? It sounds a bit like a Star Trek game or novel.

I hope they use Alexander Courage's theme again like they did in the end credits of the 2009 movie. Hopefully we'll hear it at other intervals during the movie too.

I agree it is in my top ten of all time best teaser trailers, I had the same reaction when you heard Spock speak those lines and the shot of the unfinished Enterprise and the Trek theme kick in, epic teaser, hope the sequels is just as epic.

Star Trek Into Darkness? Hmm. I can't decide if I like it or if it sounds really odd/awkward.
