I'm more or less the opposite: Big fan of the book but haven't really gotten to the show.

I know David Morrissey's been cast in the role though, and he's unquestionably awesome.

John Byrne creation. So essentially he ripped himself off. Never read though. Thought was a parody.

Yeah, they kinda were.But with more mature themes and elements. I had one issue where one of the girls was about to get raped by this biker dude, who just so happen to look like Wolverine.

I never read this either. I watched the pilot for the show thinking it'd probably be fun and thought it was complete crap, so I'll stay awy from the comics...

Where she gets nailed so much, she married her leading man.

I find her rather annoying and the least interesting person in the series.

Never read the comics though....didn't know there were any. Thought it was based off a series of novels.

Not a huge True Blood fan. Has a lot of great elements going for it, but the execution is a giant unwieldy mess of a show. Sookie's character really suffers from that. She's be a pretty cool character if the show wasn't so all over the place and goofy (in a bad way).

Pretty much. I love the first 2 seasons but the quality has declined greatly after that.

Sookie hasn't gotten much character development in this series, and she still gets annoyingly pushy a lot.

The first two seasons. It's basically soft-core vampire porn, with were-wolves, shape-shifters, and fairies.
