For a show that had a lower pop culture profile that would probably be true but this show is a juggernaut and after two hit seasons can likely weather this long period out of the spotlight.
It's the opposite for me. The smaller shows can't build that kind of momentum in the first place so I'm quite happy to consume them at a slow pace over multiple years, even if the whole lot is there ready to watch now. But for the likes of GoT and ST and a number of other shows in the past I get almost obsessed with them for a while but that loses steam if I have to wait much longer than the standard gap for TV shows. It's like reading a great book and ending halfway on a cliffhanger and then coming back to it much later after all the thoughts that were running through your head are barely there any more. In case it wasn't clear I'm talking about just the impact on myself, not how it affects the success of the shows overall. But anything that has to be weathered is usually not a good thing, although I do agree the shows have to shoot for top quality over keeping to a schedule.
