he is not the main problem in the DCEU as I once thought. I'm not entirely sure what it is at the moment, but its something much larger than him.

This proves my theory that it's not just Zack Snyder. It's Warner Brothers too. You can't even get a good move out of David Ayer, though perhaps the hiring of him was miscalculated too. That's what this universe is in a nutshell. Just one giant miscalculation. The "course correction" isn't going to do anything and Justice League is going to fail. Some color and bombardment of humor isn't going to do anything. WB just doesn't get it. They never had, except Batman. I'm imagining Ben Affleck's reaction to all of this if he even will have one.

Wonder Woman had a nice trailer but at this point, nothing is going to convince me that's going to be a good movie until the reviews come out. The Marvel way is the way to do it because right now it's the only way that's been successful. I don't care what people say.

This summer guys. I mean my God. I honestly thought Suicide Squad had some sort of a chance to turn things around but nope. This is the beginning of the results of studios trying to copy the universe method and really having no ****ing clue how to do it. This is the third DCCU film in a row that's a disappointment.

Have you seen Suicide Squad? What is your opinion about it? You must have seen it if you are so frustrated that it is a disappointment.

The striking difference between WW and BvS/SS is that it's about a single protagonist. Should make the story more direct, clearer & more coherent.

I'm hoping for the best with WW, but I've got almost none for JL despite liking the trailer. *sigh* it's so upsetting to be a DC fan.

I'm honestly not so sure about that. I don't know how much studio meddling was involved in BvS, but I seriously shudder to think how Zack "I woulda raped Batman in prison" Snyder would have fared if he was given 100% creative control.

Hopefully it will be good. But the comments (I think from Gadot?) that it has a dark tone like BvS and the fact that Snyder co-wrote it have me worried.

Snyder likely only had story outline that was derived from BvS and probably a linkage to JL. WW is more than likely heavily based on Geoff John's screenplay and Allan Heinberg's story & screenplay and considerable inputs from Jenkins (could be as much as 49% writing credit).

Suicide Squad is all Ayer as he pitched his story to WB, wrote and directed it.

If I can say something. I haven't seen Suicide Squad yet. But I think the darkened color palette works for a movie like say Suicide Squad.

However, in terms of the DCU movies, all the color in them looks drained and washed out. Even Justice League. Like that Comic-Con sizzle reel...it just looks so dark and drained. The problem is that it makes the movie look bland and it makes you feel dour. I don't think a Justice League movie should look or feel like that.

Just saying, going from BTAS to Justice League, Justice League did not have the same color palette as BTAS or TNBA. They made it a more colorful, brighter show.

I feel your pain man. I have one pro-Marvel friend who wanted this movie to fail SO hard and I was hoping I'd be able to laugh in her face. Not looking like that's going to happen now.

(To clarify, I like Marvel a lot. it just annoys me when fans of either side are actively rooting for the other one to fail. These aren't sports teams or political opponents.)

Thanks buddy I appreciate your reply! I have nothing against marvel (Much respect for them and their fans) I'm just a DC guy hardcore and don't care for marvel heroes or their stories. I don't however spread hate to them cause I fail to see the purpose. I do however debate with my marvel friends on why I believe my DC has great Stories and Characters that deserve a Universe and a Voice to be shared. I love DC so much I willing to lose bets on our simple reception to our films cause I want to Have faith in our movies to be universally acclaimed. Looks like I just lost another bet and have to be ridiculed by friends and wear my buddies T Shirt on Saturday when I see the movie that states "Marvel Is King...DC Sucks

Well Ill proudly take that beating and humiliation cause not for one second do I ever regret my love for DC!! I believe we have the best characters and Stories and Will have my Moment in the Sun #DCFanboy4Life

which is why DC desperately needs their own film division where people who work there literally live and breathe this material

until then, it will just be more of the same.

they could always just go back to making batman movies and the occasional superman reboot if they want though. Whatever man, this is all just so disheartening.
