The extended cut only seemed to be enjoyed mostly by people who already liked the theatrical cut. The additional footage wasn't enough to turn a hater into a fan.

It seemed to turn a good number of people's opinions around.

Those who were hard set, made their mind up, gonna hate it no matter what, were never going to change their minds anyways.

A lot of who gave the TC of BvS a rating of say, 4.5-7/10 seemed fairly pleased by the UE.

In other words, anyone who disliked the TC, but was OPEN to the idea of it being improvable, found the UE improved it. For some it turned it from a barely watchable mess, into a fantastic 8.5-9/10, and some even saying it's now one of their top CBMs.

Obviously not everyone, but more than anough.

the main thing is Marvel built their universe around the tone of the Iron Man movie, which was a surprise hit and not based on a character previously well known to the GA

WB is trying to build their universe on Batman but the Batman tone doesn't fit as well with the other characters as it does with Batman, and thus its not a good starting point

As a Batman fan, I'm personally fine with it and dig it, but I see the inherent issue here too

DC getting WW out before Marvel is a legit praise worthy. But yeah, if it sucks, it is going to be crushed, maybe worse then anything else. But right now the hype is real and it is beautiful.

Hopefully it will be good. But the comments (I think from Gadot?) that it has a dark tone like BvS and the fact that Snyder co-wrote it have me worried.

Same, the all seemed like family on and off set. Also I'm sure Will wanted a hit to revive his blockbuster appeal. Instead of SS2 we might be getting a Harley movie in place of that

To be fair, the BVS cast seemed to enjoy making that movie and get along really well to. Hmm, I'm sensing a pattern emerging here.

My family knows Harley Quinn from our annual B:TAS rewatch. She's pretty much the only thing that has them interested in the movie. Bummer.

Someone check on Snow Queen, quick!!! She might have just died from laughter at being so right.

She's being destroyed in the comment section. And while I don't think they should be that strong. People are raising valid arguments.

It seems she's more mad that got Harley Quinn exactly right.

I do read my DC comics but I'm one of the few that REALLY LOVE the first 2 DCEU films with no complaints, and I know I will love this! Just heartbreaking

Any consensus on Margot Robbie's Harley? I know marketing wise she's gotten good reception.

But Robbie's been gunning for a Birds of Prey type movie with Harley as one of the leads.
Wonder if it'll be still in the cards..

This proves my theory that it's not just Zack Snyder. It's Warner Brothers too. You can't even get a good move out of David Ayer, though perhaps the hiring of him was miscalculated too. That's what this universe is in a nutshell. Just one giant miscalculation. The "course correction" isn't going to do anything and Justice League is going to fail. Some color and bombardment of humor isn't going to do anything. WB just doesn't get it. They never had, except Batman. I'm imagining Ben Affleck's reaction to all of this if he even will have one.

Wonder Woman had a nice trailer but at this point, nothing is going to convince me that's going to be a good movie until the reviews come out. The Marvel way is the way to do it because right now it's the only way that's been successful. I don't care what people say.

This summer guys. I mean my God. I honestly thought Suicide Squad had some sort of a chance to turn things around but nope. This is the beginning of the results of studios trying to copy the universe method and really having no ****ing clue how to do it. This is the third DCCU film in a row that's a disappointment. You cannot blame people if by WW they're giving up. That character deserves more.

WB will just keep making more Batman movies as usual and their cinematic universe will probably dissipate with maybe a couple characters showing up to keep up appearances. Strike that, we will see DCU characters show up in the number of Batman movies they're going to be pumping out.

Yes, if you only know the Harley pitched in the last few years by DC, yes this is getting Harley "exactly right".

The striking difference between WW and BvS/SS is that it's about a single protagonist. Should make the story more direct, clearer & more coherent.
