Hahaha that movie is still a classic.

Ugh, dissapointed to see the bad reviews. Not because I believe them, but because half the people I know (offline) read them before they see the movie, and their judgement is already affected, so I know these people just jump straight on the bandwagon.

I loved Man of Steel, it has been the only Superman film I have ever enjoyed, I was never interested in his character before it. I loved Batman V Superman, it got me so excited for the DCEU.

I know I will enjoy Suicide Squad, I will pay no attention to the negative reviews :) as Im sure many have also said in this thread.

:highfive:

Thanks for reminding me. I believe in the same. Hope I enjoy Suicide Squad next Tuesday.

If this film underperforms, Kevin Tsujihara is a goner.

that must be me because i love MOS and BvS

i recognize that they are flawed but i enjoy the hell out of them anyways

I actually love MOS too but I can't defend BvS. And I TRIED to like it. I really, REALLY did.

I still have hope for SS, but it's hard to right now.

Why do directors say "I made it for the fans" when the movie is getting dragged

I made a 200+ million dollar film for a few fanboys.

LMAO!

That's seriously a great analogy. I don't care if every review on TripAdvisor says this hotel has bed bugs... I'M STAYING THERE ANYWAY BECAUSE F*** CRITICS!
Not the same thing.

Whether a hotel has bed bugs or not is a verifiable statement of fact.....whether a movie is enjoyable or not is up to individual opinion.

i'm right there with you, phantasm. i finally got to see the bvs extended cut and really dug it.

i'm a big enough dc fan to still be looking forward to the squad, but for whatever reason, wasn't champing at the bit for it like i was bvs and am jl, and considering i have to hit the road for work again in less than a week, i'll probably just wait for it to hit video before checking it out, something i likely would have done even if it was getting absolute raves.

So what's the biggest critical issue with this film? Too dark, bad editing, bad pacing, not fun enough or what?

Did the characters get ****ed up worse than we expected?

Bad writing. Bad pacing. Bad dialogue. Bad villains. Bad editing. Too many expository spoken scenes. Too many lame jokes. Too many meh performance and/miscastings.

Top of my head.

This. WB aren't just a mess for DCEU. They are a mess overall.

That is what I have been saying. Tsujihara is the problem! He lacks the necessary vision and know how. He needs to go. What they should have done is hired Nolan to direct the first film in the DCU and hired bruce timm and other DC writers to help create the universe. As it now stands, the DCU reeks of incompetence, poor leadership, and too many cooks in the kitchen!

Unfortunately we aren't going to be feeling any DCEU changes till post Justice League. Wonder Woman's already wrapped.

Oh, if WW is on the same trajectory as the other two films, there won't be a DCEU post Justice League.

Not the same thing.

Yep

Comparing the two is pretty ****ing dumb

Kevin T's plan was more Nolan/Affleck/Eastwood movies, more DC, more Lego, and more Harry Potter, and giant monsters.

DC might not be doing so well, but he's still got some other projects

Yeah. They should say, "I made it for fans who have no standards" or something. :woot:

No standards? Seriously? Perhaps they have different tastes? Have you considered that? lol

Of course the movie isn't out yet, let's see how it goes.

 Thank you.

Amazing. This could be a sum up of Batman v Superman.

No. They need new blood. But actual business people not yes men. Honestly I think their biggest mistake was letting Legendary go. Thomas Tull could have done Johns' role so much better

what did you think of the film Poni_Boy?

Top of my head.
If I may ask Poni, which actors/characters did you think worked the best, and which were really off?

I still have hope for SS, but it's hard to right now.

So if you end up loving two of the three DC films is it a total failure?

Not the same thing.

That's true. But I'm not saying people have to agree with the critics. I just get annoyed by people saying things like "who cares what those losers think; they just sit around in their pajamas all day eating Cheetos" or whatever it was that one guy posted. Their opinions on these films are just as valid as any of ours, and if a LOT of them don't like a movie, then it's hard for some of us to be super-optimistic about it.

If this film underperforms, Kevin Tsujihara is a goner.

probably for the best. Pushing Alan Horn out was the biggest mistake ever and they've been paying for it dearly ever since.

Changes from the Test Screenings to the final version details.

Read at your own risk.

The scene where Joker fight the Squad over Harley was cut. As well as him in the subway talking to them.

huh didn't know such scene existed
Took down a little story arc between Boomerang and Harley (you see a glimpse of it in the comic con trailer).

what glimpse in CC trailer?
