Supergirl Supergirl General Discussion Thread - - - Part 12

did I read the superherohype article correctly that the Supergirl season 3 DVD will have the entire crisis on eatrh x crossover?

I believe so yes.....

but not as a movie....it will be the 4 separate episodes. Something about legal stuff with the credits they can't put it out as a full uninterrupted movie.

Apparently they hit that obstacle when they put out the DVD containing just the Invasion! crossover. There's nothing else on the disc (apart from some special features) but it's still split into individual episodes with every set of opening/closing credits.

Since they use 4 different crews/directors they cant get rid of the credits. Not sure why they didn't/dont have 1 director for all 4 parts now since its supposed to be a movie.

Couldn't they just have one really long set of credits at the end with the director/crew of every crossover episode listed?

I dont think so because you wouldnt be able to tell which parts are directed by who.

Other then that Supergirl starts up production on July 11th. Melissas play wont impact the show.

Also, I believe there is something with the Director's guild, etc that you can only have a certain amount of directors, etc....on one project.

Robert Rodriguez quit the guild over that....

They manage to get round it with some of these anthology horror films where different directors direct different segments (ABCs of Death, the V/H/S movies, etc)

Just looking at some of those real quick they are segments that end with credits of who directed before going on to the next segment.....it isnt one free flowing movie.

Really? I certainly don't remember the V/H/S movies being like that. I may well be wrong but I don't remember credits between each story.

ABCs of Death appears to have brief credits in between. V/H/S does not but who knows what went behind doing things the way they did. Though each "VHS" has a ending to kind of tell each segment apart.

Oh you can get around it, do what Robert Rodriguez did and drop out of the Director's Guild....lol

Yesterday I bought the Supergirl Multiverse figure from the TV show from Barnes & Nobles at a 75% discount, along with membership discount. It was originally $21.95 and went down to $4.95. If you happen to go to Barnes & Nobles, you may be able to find the Supergirl Multiverse figure at a very cheap price.

Also Target has the Supergirl graphic novel, Being Super, that was out last week and it's at a 20% discount.

If all 4 parts of the Crisis On Earth-X crossover are in the Supergirl DVD, then there is no need to buy the other Arrowverse shows for it.

Nice!

I'm not yet convinced all 4 parts of the crossover will be on the blu-ray. The wording on the press release seemed...vague. I don't trust these people, lol.

It would be very stupid of them to not feature the entire crossover on all of the dvds. I think they did it before with one of the other crossovers.

EDIT: Nevermind, I just found the part where they specifically say all 4 episodes are included, so yay.

Now I just hope Best Buy releases another awesome steelbook. LOVED the one I got for S2.

Do they have pets on Argo? I'm thinking they must.

Now would be a perfect time to bring a Kryptonian pet to Earth.

I want to see a cat with superpowers, but it does nothing to help anyone because it doesn't give a ----.

They've only had 3 major crossovers??? right???

I counted two the first and crisis on earth-x what did I miss ?.

My only question is where is Superman while all this stuff is going on or are they not allowed to use him?
