Hopefully this does better than the A-team. I have to admit, I'm a bit more worried for this movie now than I was. This isn't opening against any kid flicks or stupid movie parody movies, is it?

Scott Pilgrim and Eat, Pray, Love. I think it's got them both in the bag. The Expendables is about $30 million dollars cheaper than The A-Team, so a $30 million dollar opening would see it to $100 domestic.

it's based of a comic/manga/thing isn't it? (Pilgrim that is not Expendables) AFAIK they've just taken the comic/manga/thing stylised stuff and put it into the movie....

Yes. That's the joke- all have super powers and fighting skills with no explanation.

Awesome. I prefer the classic rock they're using in the trailers, but this song has ridiculously grown on me.

Hopefully The Expendables will make a dent at the box office, but if it tanks (or underperform, like The A-Team) then it shows that the audience right now just don't like 80's style action flicks anymore.
