The Amazing Spider-Man TASM Easter eggs, foreshadowing, and other references!

They're just yellow pants dude.

But I did notice one thing in that shot:

IT'S A LABCOAT. OH LAWD. THE LIZARD CONFIRMED FOR TASM 2 VILLAIN.

I watched the clip again and paused it a few seconds afterwards and I think they are just yellow pants. Wow, it looked legit the first time I paused it. Ah well.

but, wait whats that in front of the labcoat... green and purple shirts, who do we know, who wears green and purple? lol

ZOMG!

Martha Connors is cleaning one of Curt's thousand lab coats he must've had!!!!

Hey guys I might as well end the speculation. In an interview, the animation supervisor said
"In the very last shot of the film where [Spider-Man] is swinging, gets himself shot out of the crane and he's flying down past the George Washington Bridge and he strikes a pose, there's an Easter Egg -- but I can't tell you any more than that -- for something to come."

So Ladies and gentlemen, the easter egg in the final swing is the George Washington Bridge (A.K.A Where Gwen Stacy died)

This has gotta be it.
Be pretty dumb if Electro hangs his undies out to dry for the whole world to see.

It has to be this! I'm thinking... Spidey is headed toward the Bridge, right? What if the whole Final Spin was really part of the sequel were Peter has to save Gwen? °o°

No he isn't headed towards the bridge. He swings down an alleyway which is to the right of where he shoots out of the crane.

Maybe he knows a shortcut?:woot:
I don't know but it could work if the sequel starts with the final spin's continuation. I noticed something else. If you look at the bridge there are helicopters in the scene, maybe that's the easter egg!

trench coat and fedora hat...ummm MAN IN THE SHADOWS....Green Goblin also remember Norman was covered in shadows at Oscorp

OKAY SO FAR:

. Norman/ Goblin (trench coat)
. Electro (his yellow suit)
. Bridge (Death of Gwen)

I think you guys are kind over examining the easter egg hint... they said that the easter egg was after he shoots himself out of the crane nothing about when hes swinging in the alley but hey nothing wrong with speculating :P

You're new here so it's understandable that you think 'us guys' are over-examining the easter egg hint...but you honestly have no idea. This is just the tip of the iceberg. We haven't gotten close to over-examining just yet :cwink:

Oh, and welcome to the boards.

Haha thanks for the welcome but I've been stalking these boards for years I only made an account so I can share my input on the easter eggs :woot:

Just got done finishing the blu-ray. 6th time watching it in total. Loved it. Now check this out. I frame-by-framed the ending swing, and right as he begins to swing by the birds and makes them fly away, they're ALL white, except for one bird, which is GREEN. Kid you not haha. Check it out for yourselves. Could be over speculating but why would ONE bird out of the flock be GREEN? Vulture.

Not easter eggs per se, but I love how they built up the world in TASM. Some subtle things without really banging it over your head. The world exists and they put us into it. Like the photos with Peter's name credit at the bottom, the Daily Bugle masthead on the newspapers, the Norman Osborn name drops. Visiting Oscorp. Peter's science background, knowing how to fix things and having the door lock remote control for example. Good stuff.

That's not Electro's suit! :cmad:

Tell me, when has Electro had a yellow and brown suit? Again, the only guy we know that wears yellow spandex with a brown stripe going down the sides of the pants is *drumroll* Shocker! Ain't that shocking?

Shocker in a film done correctly (616) would be so awesome!

i think is Green Goblin because
1.-Norman appears in the shadows when Peter is at Oscorp
2.-He is one of the reasons for the crossed species experiments
3.-Washigton bride(Gwen´s death)
4.-Man in the shadows(who was in the shadows before and only mentioned in the movie?)
5.-Trench coat and fedora hat (reference to the original comics)

Definitely Norman. Marc won't accept it yet, but I feel Norman/Goblin will be the "surprise villain" at the end of TASM2 :D. Maybe he is reading many posts around here, we just don't know it yet.

I think its the GW bridge, its kinda silly to think that the Shocker or Electro costume would just be hanging out to dry....right?

No...what are you talking about....it's not silly at all...lol.

Definitely. The worldbuilding in TAS was awesome. It had really subtle details in the props and sets that made it feel like a tangible, contemporary New York, with Spidey elements, but believable. It's a great example of show and don't tell. I definitely felt like I knew Peter better in this iteration just by the small things (he likes the movie Rear Window which was the classic Hitchcock flick with the main character as a photographer, he had the physicist Richard Feynman as his wallpaper on his desktop, he was reading the Origin of Species on his desk). You knew about his interests and aptitude WITHOUT beating us over the head with durrrr Peter's a nerd because he talks sciencey and wears glasses. It's smart character building.

Well, easter eggs don't have to be 100% serious. They're little nods for fans, like little inside jokes. So clothes hanging that have the same color-scheme as some villains costumes aren't a major plot point or are integral to the story in any way, but just a tongue-in-cheek reference. (Even though my Electro sighting was pretty much debunked earlier)

I agree with the other posters that the main easter-egg in this scene was The George Washington bridge. Chen said in an interview that there were also easter eggs during the scene where Gwen was touring the group of interns around Oscorp (the tree of life sequence), so maybe we should try to look for the ones there now. Anyone have footage of that scene online?
