It's like a game of chess. Knights, Pawns, Kings and Queens :o

That's true actually. Batman is one of the knights and the citizens are the pawns. Bane & Talia occupy the Throne of Gotham.

I can see that scenario. :yay:

If you allow me to detail how I think it's going to go for a moment:

The Total film picture with Batman and the police is probably after they get broken out of Bane's prison. I would think Batman and Foley haven't been friends up until this point but now in the dire moment Batman meets with him and tells him he's planning on attacking Bane head on, again.

Foley, a good guy ultimately wants to know what he can do. Batman tells him the equivalent of rallying his troops and says to be ready for the attack.

"How will we know?" Foley asks.

"look for my sign" Batman explains.

Batman charges Selina and Blake with saving the people in case the assault fails. He's well aware they could all die in this attack, he's been beaten before he could be beaten again. He wants Selina and John OUT of the city with the Gotham people. He tells Selina to blow the tunnel barricade and to leave the city and Blake will lead the people out from there. Meanwhile he and Gordon will deal with Bane and the doomsday device. Batman will stop Bane and Gordon will be in charge of finding the device and securing it.

The cops lead their charge, Batman comes in on the Bat, that's the sign, they attack. A riot Breaks out, Batman pushes Bane into City Hall while Foley and the cops fight the rioters and quell them. Foley, a righteous man tries to stop anyone from escaping and ending the siege once and for all and as a female cop is injured and about to be mowed down, he shoots the tumbler head on and gets hit.

Whatever happens in City Hall.

At a critical moment everyone is shocked to see Selina has NOT left Gotham and is on the Batpod and gives chase to the Tumblers. Batman realizing that the Battle isn't over has to find the doomsday device and stop it before gotham is leveled.

Our heroes Batman, Catwoman and Gordon lead an all out assault/Chase for/Against the tumblers and the HEMTT truck.

Through the collective efforts they are able to stop the tumblers and the truck but Gordon can't stop the device there's not enough time left.

Batman hooks the device to the Bat and gives Catwoman a farewell hug and goes into certain death whilst Gordon watches on as the Hero rises.

A little long but that's how I've surmised it, so far.

Risking his life to dispose of a bomb and save people, i hope shawarma isn't involved.

I'd love for it to play out like that. Especially the callback to Batman and Gordon's first meeting in BB. Nice job

Honestly - I could go with that.

Even more so - who's to say he couldn't pull another fool-job and fake his own Batman death and live on out as Bruce Wayne? Or do we know if his identity gets revealed in the course of the film?

Full circle to Adam West.

My scenario is meant to be open ended.

Whatever happens his death is nearly assured to those watching in Gotham but Batman can do amazing things, so it's not to say he won't survive or he will.

Anything in that moment is possible because The Dark Knight Rises in that moment. It's your moment of superheroism.

In that moment Batman becomes something more than a man.

I just want to know what happens inside City Hall after Bats forces the fight back in there. Bane never comes out. Catwoman rides the Batpod out while the fighting is still going on. Talia comes out with the henchmen after the fight is over and jumps in the tumblers. I'm assuming Batman comes out and jumps in The Bat to pursue the HEMETT (which somewhere along the way is being driven by Talia) because the cops are all waving bye and looking up.

And I'm almost certain the line "But you've given them everything" is when Bats is about to fly the earthquake machine off with the Bat. The scene where she kisses him just before he takes off.

I reallllllllllllllllllllyyyyy don't want the wall street riot/fight part to be involved with the finale I really want to see an almost fully Bane occupied Gotham in this film. I would like the wall street fight to be around 3/4 in to it. Maybe earlier but just IMO a Bane occupied Gotham almost completely under his rule would be great to see and would be all the better when Batman finally takes it back.

Plus I swear there was a rumour that the doomsday device actually goes off........

I've just finished an article on RISES for MAXIM. Not how many different versions of the mag (countries) it will be in, so stay tuned!

The problem i see is that there's a extremely high chance The Bat can be remote controlled like the Tumbler. They would have to come up with something that stops that from working, like The Bat being EMP'd and somehow still being able to fly just not use its computers.

P.S i hate the damn name "The Bat"

Avengers fanboys are going to have a field day if Raganork's post comes true, especially the ending.

I'll risk being probated for this:

Avengers and TDKR have something unique in common. They're are eventually BOTH about heroes coming together to stop a threat that threatens their existence.

Whilst Avengers is a list of higher name Superheroes TDKR is ultimately about the joining of the heroes of Gotham.

Everything in TDKR is about choice at some point. Batman has to CHOOSE to come back. Selina has to CHOOSE to do the 'right' thing. Gordon has to CHOOSE to continue his cop duties. Blake has to CHOOSE to fight for Gotham. They could all flee and they could all leave Gotham to it's destruction but at the end of the day you have these heroes coming together to fight Bane.

Batman, Gordon, Selina, Blake, Foley They make the tough choice of facing death in the face. Unlike BB or TDK tomorrow at the end of TDKR is not assured, there won't be a second chance at this. They could lose it ALL at the end and these heroes come together to combat this larger than life event.

What makes it so much more potent for me is that Gordon, Selina, Blake and Foley aren't wearing protective armor or have Ninja training. These are NORMAL people riding motorcycles next to huge tanks, one wrong shot and it's all over for them. They're putting their lives on the line and facing near certain death in the face for Gotham and Batman is at their side.

It's going to be emotional.

maybe the bomb itself keeps the remote from working? it causes interference? it seems to be some kind of electromagnetic device itself.
maybe the League has their vehicles shielded to protect them from the bomb's EM interference and that keeps Batman from EMP'ing their vehicles too?

Hm?

I don't mind either way, as explained above the situation of these heroes converging does enough for me.
