Zimmer's score is going to be legendary. Dare I say it.

I told you all this already.

"Disperse now. This is your last warning. Disperse now or you will be fired upon. I repeat Disperse now or you will be-"

Then the tumbler explodes or fires and they charge.

I said this back in October when I got home from the set.

Damn I forgot about that!

Does anyone remember what specific clips were released in the promos during the TDK time?

What I'm wondering is wether or not IGN will have clips. I know they had clips for TDK.

They just aired the ESPN TV spot! :awesome:

That does nothing for me, including trailer clips and calling it a TV spot? I want an official spot with new footage and music.

You wanna dissect every frame of footage they crap out and make it worse for yourself at the cinema when none of the images will have any effect on you?

When did I say I want to dissect every frame of footage?

Who doesn't want new footage in the tv spots we've all been talking about for the past week?

Everyone who expressed their excitement for tv spots is excited for the new footage that will be shown.

I do not at all understand this viewpoint. Seeing cut-up, randomly-ordered, out-of-context clips of scenes on a TV or (worse) a computer screen will not in any way spoil the movie or diminish its impact. There is no way in hell that cut-up, randomly-ordered, out-of-context clips of scenes shown on a TV or computer screen could ruin the impact of seeing the full movie, in full Imax, on midnight opening night.

They could release the entire damn movie in cut up, randomly ordered, out-of-context clips of scenes over a period of a month in TV spots and trailers and it still wouldn't diminish the impact of seeing the full movie, in full Imax, on midnight opening night.

Seriously... how are you planning on seeing this movie for the first time? Through a bootleg on your iPod?

Where in god's name is the marketing team of WB!? Jesus!

Iknorite!?

The trailers with Harry Potter*, Sherlock Holmes, and Avengers* (* = broke opening weekend record) were so cheap and ineffective!

Roll eyes

The movie is two months away. Do you know a soul who doesn't know it is coming out? No? Didn't think. The marketing team have more than done their job thus far. When they unload the remainder of their budget in a compact, concentrated, ENORMOUS media blitz over the final 6-7 weeks, all of this nonsense will be forgotten. When you cant go ANYWHERE without hearing about or seeing TDKR, which will happen, all will be forgotten.

QFT.

I think a lot of people are just pissed because they were expecting TDK style virals.
Personally I don't mind but I do understand their complaints.

Listen, I LOVE the Nolan Bat-films, The Dark Knight is my favorite film of all time. And, I think WB did a masterful job of marketing BB and TDK. But, I have to say, I am in the camp that is really starting to question the marketing campaign for TDKR. We are two months out and aside from the trailers, there has been almost nothing. You had The Joker in TDK, that was enough of a draw on it's own, but I really feel like we should be seeing more things to educate people on Bane, Talia Al Ghul, etc. Catwoman is not the same draw as The Joker. With Avengers raising the bar, it's time for TDKR to really ramp things up and I just haven't seen it yet.

Thinking about the story now, i have a feeling this movie will take place over a span of at least month or so (excluding flashbacks of course)... Given that set photos revealed "rain scenes" with Miranda Tate at Wayne Manor to heavy snow in Gotham during the Pittsburgh shoots, my guess is that Bruce Wayne is Bane's captive for a month or so. (and grows facial hair/scruff in prison). He's in captivity long enough for the seasons to change,

Not to mention, the football scene doesn't look like winter.

just my thoughts.

Because we all know fanboys are experts and have BA's in marketing who know better than the actual WB marketing team themselves.

I guess we should start listening to the people on the internet in how this marketing should be run.

Hey, DJ, did you hear that WB is going spend their whole marketing budget for a 5 minute preview of MOS? :o

The cops are rumoured to be [BLACKOUT]trapped for 3 months[/BLACKOUT].
I think that would be from the day of the football game until Batman gets home. A good portion of the film will happen before this, Beardy Bruce could be hobbling around Wayne Manor for months perhaps.

It'll sell massively regardless at this point, but if they're just gonna give us a poster in June, and the regular tv spots i dont think that's great marketing. They need to deliver 3 or 4 posters in about a month from now. Load us up on interviews, on set too, AND load up on the tv spots. Possibly a HBO special like they did with TDK and Begins.

Maybe that's all gonna happen from mid june to mid july. That could be their plan for all we know. It might be smart to let The Avengers really cool off and right before Prometheus (is it the middle of June?) give out a few of those character posters. Then go APE**** for a month with an official last poster, etc. Maybe more viral will happen regarding all that
