Ohai! Absolutely crappy night last night. Didn't sleep very much at all (and not just because I was on here 'til 5 am

... that was a consequence of me being an insomniac... the not sleeping came first

), and I feel like I either have a cold or the flu right now, but...
I did get one chance to dream, and I remember it!
Or think I do...
I think I add details to the dreams that I remember as I recall them, because I think they end up way more detailed in retellings then it's possible for dreams to actually be, but... I wanted to share this one here because it's TDKR-related. Kind of a cool dream, IMO, though possibly also uber-cheesey...
Anyways...
This happens before Bane makes his presence known in Gotham. I'll write in poorly-amateur-script form...

t:
Gordon, a couple cops, the judge (whoever that may be), the mayor, and
a district attorney are somewhere (can't remember where... it looked like that backroom of a bar to me, but that would be a
strange place for this) arguing over why it's been 8 years and Batman isn't behind bars already. At some point during their argument, a guy with just enough alcohol in his system to make him brave (but not really drunk) walks in.
Now, you know how in real life there are always conspiracy theorists who question the official story? I have to admit that I'll be rather disappointed if they don't have one in this film. Only, in the film, just like this guy in my dream (and unlike in reality), the conspiracy theorist is
actually right.
So anyways... this buzzing conspiracy theorist interrupts them:
Conspiracy Theorist: I'm sorry, but I couldn't help overhearing all of you talking about Batman.
I know why he hasn't been captured.
Mayor: Oh yeah, and why is that?
Gordon: I don't think...
Mayor (cuts Gordon off): Shh... let him speak. I want to hear this.
Conspiracy Theorist: It's simple. Batman is not the one responsible for all those deaths. You see, I know what
really happened eight years ago. I saw it all. I saw what happened to Harvey. I
saw what the Joker did to him. I know that he refused pain killers and skin grafts. I know that he started calling himself Two-Face.
Gordon: You're insane.
Conspiracy Theorist: Am I?
Am I? These eyes don't lie! I
know what I saw! Now don't get me wrong... I know why you did it. I know why you and Batman decided that Batman should take the blame for those deaths. What would happen to Gotham if they found out that truth... that Harvey killed all those people? It would be horrible. We'd eat ourselves apart from the inside. So what you guy's did was admirable. You should be praised for it.
But it
was Gotham's precious
Dent who killed those cops. Batman took the blame to save Gotham. Admirable, but he made one mistake: you don't fix a problem with lies. Maybe it's time for the truth to come out. Harvey's the killer.
Harvey's the one who...
Conspiracy Theorist gets punched out by a cop who idolizes Harvey Dent.
Cop: This guy's a fruitcake. I don't believe for a second that Harvey Dent killed those people. He would have been in
way too much pain. No
way he would have been able to just get up and walk around and kill people.
After a bit, people start to meander out, with some cops dragging the now fully sobered and terrified conspiracy theorist with them. Gordon and the Mayor stay behind.
Mayor: What if he was telling the truth, Gordon?
Gordon (gives the mayor a shocked, exacerbated look): You're joking... right?
Mayor: No, I'm not. I don't like Batman, but I've always had a little trouble with the official story, not least because it's been eight years and he
still hasn't been captured.
Gordon: This
is Batman we're talking about. They brought in the Swat team to try and get him out of Arkham way back. Remember that? And we still couldn't catch him.
Mayor: And
you went in early.
Gordon: Because I didn't believe Batman was
that formidable at the time. I thought I could catch him myself. I was proven wrong.
Mayor: And yet you drove Batman's... tank, was it?... through the streets of Gotham and shot down the tri-rail with it.
Gordon: I had no choice at the time. Rounding up the released Arkham inmates and stopping Crane's madness was more important than capturing Batman. Commissioner Loeb new that.
Mayor: And he was killed only a few months later by a man we
all know would not exist if not for Batman... the same guy who killed one of the best people we ever had, and destroyed Harvey Dent.
Gordon: I don't think the Joker was a result of Batman's existence.
Mayor: I do.
And that's when I woke up.
