Just saw the new spot. Cool stuff!
What was shown?New footage!
I can't breath. This had NEW footage. Bruce looked so cool. OMG! OMG! I'm rewinding my TV.

Just saw the new spot during American Idol. I was zoned out looking at the computer and heard the voice over saying "In theatres July 20th" missed the whole thing. Luckily TV has a rewind button!
What's that in the bottom left/right corner?

Don't act like Batman-News.com is the first website to ever watermark a photo!
Look I'm going to try to explain myself and keep my honor and dignity and the friends that I've made on here. Please bear with me. This won't be insulting. I'm just going to explain why I questioned Chris's news report.
I don't get you guys. Plain and simple.
I've liked Batman my entire life. When I was a kid my grandma got me the kenner bruce wayne figure from Batman 89 and I was hooked. I watched the animated series every day after school when I was in grade school. I know every line of every movie by heart. I never segregated these films NOLAN VS Burton or anything. I love Batman. All of it. He's my hero.
In 2008, I joined superherohype (I forgot my old login) because I was as excited as anyone for The Dark Knight. In fact, I'd never been as excited for anything in my entire life. It was like crack...every day coming home to new images and communicating with other fans. But still I retained a life. And I retained a sense of patience.
With this movie, I was lucky enough to be on the set in Los Angeles and I made friends with several members out there. It was a great time to be a fan. I felt like "my faith was being rewarded." But honestly, I feel like superherohype has changed. The way people view these movies are different. TDK is saturated in parody. People are fawning over the actors. People fawn over Nolan (I like him too don't get me wrong) in ways I could never understand. I appreciate these for Batman because I love Batman. I could never wrap my brain around the kind of celebrity worship that has seemed to be inspired by this new film. Hathawayism? What? Why?
Something is different this time around. The hype feels like they care less about content and the movie itself and more about obtaining every snippet of news. I can't subscribe to that kind of mentality. I'm super excited for the movie. Counting the days. But that anxious to see thumbnails we've already seen that I would write to someone on twitter? No. Nothing will change when I see those stills. They reveal nothing. It seems a little "pathetic" to me honestly.
I want this movie to be a triumph. I want us all to love it. I approach things differently now than I did in 2008 because I'm older and more skeptical now. I'm a critic by trade. I review movies and TV shows and get paid to do it. I'm not saying that what I've seen from TDKR is bad or ANYTHING like that. I'm just saying I do approach things from a "cynical perspective" like Goku even said.
So that's where I'm coming from. My honor has been called into question and I'm not even sure I care because frankly I don't know if I like you anymore. And I don't mean the collective "you" as in Batman fandom, but the desperation and pettiness that SHH has become in the past few months.
I hope we can continue to have civil discourse. I'm not calling anyone names or in fact doing anything but state facts and how I feel. I feel that this level of desperation makes the fandom less fun.
Sorry ChrisB. Continue.
Tha's okay with me. Anything at this stage would be good.I can record it with my phone and put it on youtube, but the quality will be terrible!
