chill...it's two months away, batmania will come.

No...I still don't think my mind and body is quite ready for it yet, need to prep it further with viewings of prometheus and spidey first.

right now it just feels like Avengers & Spideymania sadly. which on the bright side is a very good thing if they decide not to promote it...because marvel is sticking out like a sore thumb right now its all about marvel in the stores, news, theaters, tv, etc....which makes TDKR the underdog and most-likely-to-be-hit-of-the-summer :)

My body is ready, but there's still almost 2 weeks left...!

I have noticed that if you watch this...

And this just right after...

You might find a warm salt soaked tear dripping down your cheek... like mine. :csad: :hrt:

See now, I want to watch TDK again. You're right, that ending is so unbelievably epic. From the speech itself, to the score. Plus it was a sign of things to come for Batman. How the road from that point forward would be incredibly difficult, knowing that he would be constantly on the run. Batman is most definitely a hero. In fact, he is the definition of a hero. I have this strange feeling that I am going to cry in the theater. If a movie can actually make me shed tears, then you know it's something special.

BTW, it's hard to believe that it's been 3 years and ten months since TDK was released. It really doesn't seem like it's been that long.

Spideymania? Where are you seeing that?

This Marvel-Mania is so thick in the air right now that it's almost getting difficult to breathe. It wont be long before people get tired of the overdose of it all and TDKR will be there with a breath of fresh air for fans and the GA alike.

Maybe WB is thinking "let them be fed Marvel until they're so full that they'll be begging for Batman by mid-July".

The Marvel movies are fun, but when they see TDKR they'll understand that this is something different, deep and fun.
Then "word of mouth" will do the rest.

Seriously, I don't really see too much good buzz for Spidey. Most people I know are leery because they are redoing the origin so soon. And I see the multiple trailers and revelation of money shots being a sign of desperation from Sony.
But I hope I'm wrong. Spidey is my second favorite comic book hero next to Batman, I want to see a good movie with the potential of being a healthy franchise. I also want to see the Green Goblin redone, and done correctly.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if that's WB's thinking on this.

Seeing as The Avengers is now going 3 weeks strong at no. 1, I'm thinking maybe when it finally drops off that spot, maybe it's time to kick the marketing into "phase 2"***. That being, unveiling the final theatrical poster and first few TV spots with new footage.

The only question is, will MIB³ actually top The Avengers? I think that, despite nobody in the general fan-community being especially hyped about it, it's still family friendly fun, a well-established franchise and Will Smith. If it doesn't outgross Avengers next weekend, then it'll be the first official bomb of the summer. I think it will though.

I don't know, this summer is really crazy. We've got one of the biggest box office hits of all time on our hands, a film that features of team of superheroes...

...with Batman and Spider-Man movies still on the way (that will be promoted simultaneously).

***= Just friendly amateur speculation, nothing more.

Oh its coming, and soon. I've been waiting so long for this and I can't believe it's coming that early, thanks for the information Zimmer :p

Track listings for the TDKR soundtrack?

Yeah I'm guessing the soundtrack will be on preorder soon to and most places give samples of them.

You think MIB will out-gross Avengers? Lol.

I think Avengers will be reigning box office behemoth until TDKR.

I don't really see MIB 3 doing that well. The second one was very meh and was reviewed as such.
