yea seriously...Snow White is only on the because of that Twilight girl.

Not really. It's more because it's an epic movie with a (possibly) badass female villain and a (possibly) badass female hero.

Kristen Stewart isn't that popular with women. It's been shown and proven already that the women are more into the franchise than the actors.

This.

I think I'm lost, I thought this was the TDKR thread?

That was before the Catwoman trailer came out and at the height of Avengers marketing. The only way to get an accurate, fair reading would have been to do the poll in January or so.

This.

Things have changed since, and will change prior to July.

I don't get this either. Jaden Smith has proven to be not that bad with Karate Kid, and it's not like outside that hair song Willow has had much attention.

Is Nolan really ashamed of the genre?

I honestly think people have been reading the vibe of the final Rises trailer the wrong way (and the Dark Knight for that matter). There's a profound sense of hopefulness to that trailer that I think will be reflected in the final film. It's just that Nolan's going to take the audience through the nine circles of Hell before we get to the light....and we'll be better for it.

This online war against what the Dark Knight is, was, and what Nolan's being trying to say is wearing very, very, very, very thin now.

Like the fact they're redoing the origin. :o

That and I haven't seen anything particularly incredible from Garfield. His delivery is off. What should be a funny line with the whole "small knives" thing is partly ruined by the way he says it.

Unfortunately, even if it's decent, its numbers will be massacred by TDKR.

That's one long ass editorial by Devin based on this one premise he made about Nolan that's not even accurate.

every time i see trailer 2...the ending where the title comes up and the batman theme is blaring...i feel 'hopeful'... i like how they made 'Rises' show up at the perfect time with the music.

Except for the fact that, you know, BB and TDK are heavily based off of The Man Who Falls, Year One, and The Long Halloween. But hey, what do I know? :o

Devin is a tool. He'll say anything to knock Batman down a peg. It's nothing but pure smugness.

I can't wait for July 20th.

The way that these two fantastic franchises(Batman and TA) are constantly being set against each other is really taking a lot of the fun out of what should be a great summer for comic fans and movie geeks. Why can't people just like two different kinds of movies? It's really getting tiresome.

Definitely. It is total nonsense. Here's a shout out to GothamAlleys and his blog. Take a look at his TDK and BB comic influences for example:

TDK:http://gothamalleys.blogspot.com.au/2011/08/comic-book-references-in-movies-part-vi.html
BB: http://gothamalleys.blogspot.com.au/2011/08/comic-book-references-in-movies-part-v.html

The final shot of the Rises trailer pretty much prove him wrong.

Yup. I mean I don't really care what he feels about Nolan's Batman because that's his opinion and all that but of all the things he want to run with, he chose an argument that Nolan's Batman distance themselves from the comics? LOLWUT.

Did the sonar surveillance thing in Knight not clue him in?

I'd like to think that if Nolan was ashamed he wouldn't have done the interview for the "Absolute Long Halloween".
