Wow never seen the second and third one before. But yea, the first one isn't great. And neither was the one of just Leo with his back to the camera which was a rehash of the TDK one with Joker's back to the camera.

And right on cue, people show up with sarcastic remarks about how they're going to boycott the film because of this poster, even though not a single person here has said or even hinted at doing such a thing.

Classic SHH.

Meh. I'm underwhelmed by the poster but still excited for the movie. Hopefully we get a poster of Catwoman.

No doubt it'll be the first promo shot of her copypasted in front of the poster of bane walking away from the broken mask. :o

The poster is ok. I would've preferred a wintery backdrop though.

Yeah, typical stupid SHH.

I get the idea behind it. This poster wasn't made for us. It was made for the General Audience to further boost awareness. When it is hanging in a theatre, the bright fire will catch people's eyes as they walk to their next movie. Most won't stand and stare at it and analyze it. They'll be thinking "oh cool, Batman and explosions!"

They took the first poster, changed the color palette, and photoshopped a picture of Batman on it without even trying to make him match the perspective of the background. It's lazy, unimaginative, and poorly executed. There's three adjectives besides "bad" that accurately describe this poster. Pick your favorite.

Forgive me for wanting something that would require more than a preliminary understanding of photoshop and five minutes worth of effort.

Actually, they wanted Batman's head to coincide with the bat symbol head. If more people actually watched the poster more than one second before crying they would have noticed that.

Watching the Anchorman 2 and Skyfall teasers again. Making me feel a bit better.

I gotta say, that poster is so underwhelming.

It's only would be cool if you were to put it next to the World Without Rules TDK one. But by itself? It's just a different colored and touched up version of the first teaser poster with a photoshopped Batman in front of it and some new taglines. Nothing special at all. A real shame. Since all of Batman's poster of before have impressed me.

Wow, that changes everything.

I noticed it right off the bat. Trying to be clever doesn't make up for lazy and shoddy execution. It's not even that great of a concept.

I'd rather have a good-looking poster than have to say, "Well, it looks like crap... but Batman's head aligns with the bat emblem's, so there's always that !"

The directions of their shadows are completely implausible in that third Inception poster :p

I can't believe people are actually trying to defend this poster.

It's ok to hate it guys. Really. Bad poster doesn't mean bad movie.

It's a summer blockbuster. Most summer blockbusters, including the old TDK ones, have the hero standing around either in the cliche back to the camera shot or the cliche standing in front of a building or explosion shot.

The only posters that have been great in the Bat series are the Begins one, the Joker one behind the screen and the Joker one where he's standing in the street with his back to the camera.

The Inception ones weren't really inspired either. They're just posters for summer blockbusters, they're not high art, they don't need to be. Fact is, 99% of posters for mainstream movies are lazy and uninspired these days.

I know, and I agree to an extent. But this one is just crappier than all of them to me, a huge and lazy mess.

The "World Without Rules" poster might not be a masterpiece or anything, but it does it's job and is solid enough from a technical side.

Who said that changes everthing? I was giving him an answer about the perspective.
I like the poster, I don't love it. But I like that it's a mix of the Begins and the TDK posters and it giving me a message that I like.

Actually, I think the reaction to the marketing campaign so far will be a microcosm of the reaction to the film itself. Lots of people are going to be hugely disappointed because they set TDK on a pedestal that frankly it isn't even worthy of.
