Yeah, just looked through Harry Knowles tweets and he seems confident that TASM is "pretty damn fantastic," according to his sources.

Not meaning yours specifically but titles like that in general sound pretty cheesy to me when it comes to films.

The worst example would be "Amazing Spider-Man: Rise of (insert anything here)".

Seriously, Rise of... titles are so overused these days!

Harry Knowles asked him on Twitter if the rumor was true and he said that he loves Spidey and is having fun with this one but isn't thinking about the next one yet. That's an answer most directors give so I wouldn't look too much into it. HOWEVER, Harry did reply to him that a little bird told him he nailed it in regards to the movie

1. Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man

2. Peter Parker: Spider-Man

3. Web of Spider-Man

4. Astonishing Spider-Man

Or they could just go TASM 1, TASM 2, etc... assuming that doesn't happen for this franchise.

That'd be fine for the sequel title, I was talking about Ultimate as the last movie's title, as Webb said this is going to be a trilogy. Ultimate seems fitting as well, it means the end of something, sounds like Peter has become the ultimate Spider-Man and is a reference to one of the versions of Spider-Man that they have taken inspiration from. t:
