It really has been insane around here. I can't keep up. I really just wanna talk Spidey right now.

I stopped watching the newest batch of clips and featurettes after seeing the Lizard talking. Figured I had spoiled enough of it at this point. And I have to wait until I get home to see the latest interviews. Always love interviews.

I think the biggest thing I'm taking away so far after seeing everything I've seen, is that this movie knows what it's trying to do and it really is sticking to its guns. I love the grounded take I'm seeing. Love the interactions between the characters, notably Andrew and Emma, although we haven't seen too many others at this point. Someone pointed out very accurately that Webb is showing us why Peter is so infatuated with Gwen rather than just having him tell us, like Tobey's Peter did at the beginning of SM1. We actually see why Peter would fall for her. Emma is actually selling us on the idea of the character. You would think that would be a given for any film, but Raimi didn't exactly do that. All that happened was Peter said he always loved MJ, she was the girl next door, etc. What did she really do that was so impressive? She was really good at getting kidnapped, I'll give her that. I'm really hoping that if we see an MJ in the future of this series that we see the real MJ. The drop-dead gorgeous red-head we all know and love. And it's just a plus that Webb understands how to show us why these characters are important rather than just having the main character tell us why they are. Kudos to whoever pointed that out.

I will admit to being a little nervous about the talking Lizard, even though I like how he looks. I'm still very much hoping for a gradual transformation in which Connors loses himself completely to the Lizard. I just really want to see that separation between the two.

Yeah, what I learned watching 500 Days of Summer is that Webb is a great director of actors. He knows how to make his characters be believable and well acted. That wasn't a concern I had before the production started.

The acting and character interactions were never really a concern for me. It was always with the story and whether or not it would be cohesive and concise enough.

He's not bad, he's just misunderstood. He thinks turning everyone into Lizards is a good thing.
I really hope that the next villan isn't a sympathetic "heart's in the right place" villan. Yeah, you need tat for Connors, and it worked for Ock, but I really want a balls to the wall, evil sob for the next film.

Hopefully Goblin will be pure evil! I think it would be interesting if Norman already has the "serum" or whatever, and just never had to use his abilities yet.

I'd say it's been pretty mixed. There have been very positive (some saying it's the best spider-man film, as good as Avengers) to mixed (some problems with the plot) to negative (worse than SM3).

Can't wait 'til we get RT and Metacritic scores. I'm going to try to avoid reviews until then. Reading reviews one by one is too stressful.

The problem is too many people seem to focus on the negative.

Hmm well if people are comparing it to Avengers then it has to be good.

Yeah but some are apparently also saying it's worse than SM3. So really, it all boils down to opinion. But if a general consensus, such such as RT or metacritic is mostly negative than perhaps there's more reason to believe the film is bad, or at least extremely polarizing.

Well I guess the only opinion that matters is yours because I love some films that most say are trash and hate some that people praise. You like what you like and no review should change that

Yeah maybe I've been out of the game for awhile as far as examining public reaction to these kind of films go. The more I hear about this movie the more it intrigues me, does anyone think this film would've had a better chance with the dreaded June release time as opposed to having just a couple weeks about before TDKR comes out?

Oh please,it has plenty of chance.Avengers crossed a billion in 18 days.
Mib has 450 million in 14 days and it wasnt even a great movie according to Reviews.
So its safe to assume TASM will earn about 700million before 20th june, even if its ticket sales drops after that and ends up earning only 200 million after that.900million is good enough, its triple of what batman begins earned.
There you go

So guys,how many bad reviews?

All I heard was that devin guy(who we wont count since he hasnt seen the movie and is plain hating) and another guy FilmNerd who said 2 of his friends have mixed views

Any more than that?

None that I know of

btw, even if a one or two guys reviewed it as a bad movie, there's still those reviews that say it's better than any of the previous movies, and even then I wouldn't take any review seriously yet (bad or good). Not until the movie has come out I can we say what is the peoples' average opinion on the movie when the reviews start pouring everywhere

remember people, there are a lot of haters and blind fanboys out there, so I wouldn't get worried 'nor would I get pumped from the reviews we have currently

Look back on his previous posts, it appears he took his annoyance a little too far.

Oh... well, I kinda guessed it would happen soon or later

No offence SpiderMarvelite, if you ever see this post. People do appriciate guys that like this film, but sometimes ya take it a little too far. Just saying

To be fair to him,I dont see a reason to be banned on being over enthusiastic
Its good to have positivity around here

well that is definitely true. Though, I don't think positivity is the thing we're missing here currently, the majority now likes the film

What are you talking about?

Almost all of them said they loved the movie.

The smart thing to do would to just ignore the reviews we have before the premiere. I'm not gonna trust any review until Jeremy Jahns, Chris Stuckman, Spill.com or any other well known reviewer reviews the movie
