The smart thing to do would to just ignore the reviews we have before the premiere. I'm not gonna trust any review until Jeremy Jahns, Chris Stuckman, Spill.com or any other well known reviewer reviews the movie

Early tweets were spot on for Avengers.

And, quite frankly, the time to be skeptical is long over.

Now is time to be optimistic and happy about the level of praise the movie is getting.

Let the haters be skeptical. Lord knows they're pessimistic enough for the rest of us.

I want it to be good. Hope it will be good. And believe it will be good.

I agree. :yay:

When's RIM and the other guys going to see it? My showing is a week tomorrow. I'll make sure I come home straight away and give a spoiler-free review.

I think RIM sees it on the 14th.

Not 100% sure though.

It really has been insane around here. I can't keep up. I really just wanna talk Spidey right now.

I stopped watching the newest batch of clips and featurettes after seeing the Lizard talking. Figured I had spoiled enough of it at this point. And I have to wait until I get home to see the latest interviews. Always love interviews.

I think the biggest thing I'm taking away so far after seeing everything I've seen, is that this movie knows what it's trying to do and it really is sticking to its guns. I love the grounded take I'm seeing. Love the interactions between the characters, notably Andrew and Emma, although we haven't seen too many others at this point. Someone pointed out very accurately that Webb is showing us why Peter is so infatuated with Gwen rather than just having him tell us, like Tobey's Peter did at the beginning of SM1. We actually see why Peter would fall for her. Emma is actually selling us on the idea of the character. You would think that would be a given for any film, but Raimi didn't exactly do that. All that happened was Peter said he always loved MJ, she was the girl next door, etc. What did she really do that was so impressive? She was really good at getting kidnapped, I'll give her that. I'm really hoping that if we see an MJ in the future of this series that we see the real MJ. The drop-dead gorgeous red-head we all know and love. And it's just a plus that Webb understands how to show us why these characters are important rather than just having the main character tell us why they are. Kudos to whoever pointed that out.

I will admit to being a little nervous about the talking Lizard, even though I like how he looks. I'm still very much hoping for a gradual transformation in which Connors loses himself completely to the Lizard. I just really want to see that separation between the two.
This, very much this. You see the beginning of the infatuation. It's gonna be emotionally great

Yes gwen is the perfect girl
She is beautiful, inteligent(maybe more than peter),in the debate team aswell. She has a great chemistry with peter. In a way the audience will fall in love with her aswell

On the other hand MJ's potrayal in the previous series wasnt so good, especially the 3rd part, she was coming across as a selfish ***** who didnt care that her bf was risking his life to save people

Whoa, whoa, whoa, I want a spoiler-filled review too!

Nothing to do with the reviews, but...
I read a rumour about Macr Webb not coming back for the sequel.
Do you know something about it? Or has it been debunked?

yeah after watching 500 days of summer I know that he can put together good romantic scenes with really good scores to match...

Btw if Gwen dies later in the series then Marc will definitely make it as emotional as possible..the sad score..the lines Garfield will be saying..the acting has to be spot on

The only person I know of that said that was Devin. He REALLY hates this movie so who knows if it's true.

Do you guys think we'll get numbers for sequels, changed title (the recent Batman trilogy), or sub-titles (the Star Wars movies)?

btw I know we discussed this but that mysterious guy..I'm starting to think he isnt norman osborn (or maybe he is I dont know)..because he's credited as David Lowell whos is sundown

some people are saying that it's morbius..I think it's vulture because of the clothes and the voice..

I think he has a way of just getting the best out of his actors, if we do get the death of gwen later, i dont think there'll be a dry eye in any cinema

The only person I know of that said that was Devin. He REALLY hates this movie so who knows if it's true.

Harry Knowles asked him on Twitter if the rumor was true and he said that he loves Spidey and is having fun with this one but isn't thinking about the next one yet. That's an answer most directors give so I wouldn't look too much into it. HOWEVER, Harry did reply to him that a little bird told him he nailed it in regards to the movie

I would like to see them go the more numerical route for the films like the Iron Man films.

I don't know how far they could go if they did a Nolan Batman route with a changed title. "The Web-Slinger" :oldrazz:

I'd actually prefer different titles...

The Amazing Spider-Man

The Spectacular Spider-Man

Ultimate Spider-Man (sounds fitting for the title of a final Spider-Man movie)

I think it will be "Spectacular Spider-Man" and then "Ultimate Spider-Man" or something like that.

What I don't like about the Batman titles is the first one isn't consistent with the sequels, just gets on my nerves a bit.

I'd also prefer the Amazing, Spectacular, Ultimate route

If they went with the Star warsy way of it, it would depend on the villain in it

The Amazing Spider-man: Concrete Jungle (crappy example for a Kraven sequel)

could jst simply be Amazing Spider-man 2

I agree about Batman haha!

Problem is, at least to me, that such titles sound pretty lame or corny.
