I'd like to ask people more in the know, and feel free to spoil anything to me, I get the feeling that Curt Connors is already shady/villainous before the Lizard incident(s). From various clips Rhys acts a bit... sinister. Is this true and if so, to what extent?

No, I know what he wants as the Lizard, it's just that Ifans's acting so far has given me a much more sinister vibe than the traditionally benevolent one from the comics (or even the drunk has-been one from the Ultimate comics).

I think it's because his characyer is driven.

Marc Webb already confirmed that that's not true

This. Both Marc and Rys have said that Conners is a good man that makes a bad decision. I think their trying to push the evil/Lizard side in the clips and trailers to depart from Doc Ock in SM2, and also not to spoil much.

That was actually something I've been guessing, that they wanted to distance themselves from Molina's Ock (that came out wrong), who was very Connors-ish to begin with (probably due to the fact that at one point he WAS Connors).

Don't get me wrong. I actually like the new poster with Spidey and Gwen.

It makes perfect sense why they want to stray away from it in the promos and such.

It's just so damn easy to be creative and original about those posters. I don't see why they are choosing to be dull about it. But never mind than.

yeah I get you, would be nice for some originality (like the shadow poster...still my favourite poster of the bunch), but again finding something original andu unique in this day and age that hasnt been done is almost impossible.

Eh, it's ok. At least the image in that poster looks like it'll have some bearing in the movie, as opposed to SR.

Well, there's only so many ways you can make a poster so yeah... at least it's not the generic "character from the front" poster

Although, they could at some point resort to using actual comic book covers. There are tons by now and some of them are golden.

Not a bad pose and one that hasn't been done yet for a poster. I felt a couple of the posters for this one have been way too similar to the Raimi ones.
