Personally I am so sick of the "cold, lifeless, calculating" evil robot trope that Ultron is a welcome change, depending on how they handle him.
And to those who arent fans of Whedons work in general: perfectly valid, but just expect to be disappointed going in. For obvious reasons.
I like Whedon's humor 70% of the time but that throw up line firmly goes into the 30% pile. I can't think of any context in which that line will be liked by me.What's that have to do with a bigger picture? People expected the terminator and got something else. That throw up line was pretty jarring in the preview. Seemed a little more Johnny 5.
Why does that sound horribly familiar?![]()
People dont even get it when you explain it to them. Its pretty amazing.
I still dont buy the complaint w/ ULTRON being too human. They dont get it. He starts out as an AI like JARVIS. Remember JARVIS in Iron Man? It was just Paul Bettany talking to RDJ basically. The same applies to James Spader as Ultron. The difference being hes even smarter than Jarvis since he becomes self aware and he puts himself inside a robotic body with humanistic features.
We're talking live action, not the comics. Joss made ULTRON much more interesting than the comic book version which was just a crazy robot that wanted to kill kill kill. That version wouldve been totally dull and cliche. Just another Terminator but in the MCU.
Where on earth are the reviews?
Guys, please. Help me out here. I can go see Age Of Ultron in about 24hs, but by myself. Or I have to wait like until Saturday to see it with friends. I mean, I want to see it as soon as possible, but also I like to share the experience and like, talk about it afterwards. What should I do? What would you do?
