[First Avenger]

I liked it well enough. Negatives include Ultron's portrayal, the super lame Banner/Widow pairing and Whedon's irritating 'must kill somebody off' routine. Also the Hawkeye business felt forced and kludged in just to give Renner something to do.

It actually seems like I'm complaining a lot but I really did enjoy the movie. I'll have to put the dvd on rotation for awhile to be sure but after 1 viewing (2 months after) I'd give it a B.

It would be good to know the source of these deleted scene descriptions, but there is a far better more complex and potentially satisfying movie hinted at in these deleted scenes.

Stark calls the Twins “Flowers in the Attic”, and they don’t understand the reference. Wanda says it sounds lovely, Hawkeye quips “trust me, it isn’t”.

That line they should most definitely have kept in.

Out of the supposed deleted scenes the material I think would have really made the movie better are the expansion of the nuclear codes stuff and maybe BW becoming proactive and fighting a bit after her damsel in distress rescue. The Thor/QS fire scene would have been cool. All together that's probably just about 3 minutes.

Otherwise it seems like a lot of Twins, Hawkeye, Thor in the cave, and needless transition material that was cut and I'm fine with all of that.

Yeah Joss said he wanted to keep 2-3 minutes in the final cut. BUT he also wanted the movie to be shorter than the first :P.

I've seen it twice but have been trying to catch it a 3rd time before it leaves theaters. I don't think I'll get that chance. The BluRay just can't get here fast enough.

Hey guys, I'm a weirdo and like messing with movies' color grading for fun. I took the Hulkbuster clip from AOU and just quickly used Adobe's new color correcting tools to make it look a bit more like the first film's more colorful palette. I didn't go shot by shot or anything and I noticed in the process how much they had actually toned down Hulk himself, so I didn't manage to saturate him to his A1 levels, but I think it's still pretty neat to see.

Looks great! Didn't care for the way that scene looked in the movie, your version looks better IMO. Marvel, hire this man!

i dunno. i rather like the sepia tint for africa... it made sense tonally.. it shouldn't be bright clear and colorful

Question : if Stark knew HYDRA was working on advanced robotics and figured out Strucker wanted to to use the scepter to bring them to life (A.I), how couldnt he figure out Ultron would go to the castle?

I could see that, being that the mood of the scene is a little more downbeat. This was more in line with seeing what it could look like mimicking that more colorful style of the first film's climax. I was surprised to find just how differently the scene felt with just some minor tweaks.

Agreed. Pulling the yellow down meant cranking the blue up to fight it and in the process some of the other stuff, like the arc reactors, got extra saturated.
