I'm half inclined to mark today on my calendar as well as the 2nd, just to commemorate the good news.

Oh, I'm not expecting a combo pack (Marvel haven't been doing those for a while - which is annoying too), but I'm hoping for even just a separate barebones DVD (they might not/probably won't advertise it/put links up for it for a while... there was another movie a while back, can't remember which one, that blu-ray links went up before a barebones DVD link did). I mean, I'll be getting the blu-ray for certain, but not all of the tvs in our house have blu-ray players. So if the downstairs tv (with blu-ray) is occupied by a sibling and their friends, its nice to be able to still watch a movie on DVD up in one of the other rooms even if it's on a smaller screen.

Why do they do this? I mean a digital copy one month in advance of a phisical release. Isnt that sort of like, i dunno, saying... "Go ahead, just pirate a HD copy of this a month before phisical relaese!" Not complaining or anything, just curious.

No word on a U.S. steelbook yet but Best Buy will probably be doing one since they've done them so far for Thor: The Dark World, Captain Ameirca: Winter Soldier & Guardians Of The Galaxy.

Let me mark Oct 2 on my calender. Combo pack is nice but sucks DVD is not included even though I never use it.

Almost every other studio does a combo pack still so I'm not really sure what the rationale was behind getting rid of the BR/DVD combo packs in favor of the 3D/BR combo packs. I'll probably end up getting the combo and DVD because I only have one BR player in my house at the moment and I typically lend the DVD out to my sister if she wants to borrow it for her kids.
