Who gets to decide what changes are detrimental or not?
Because they don't know how to react to trolling. Why must you people engage him?![]()
And that doesn't look much different than the costume for this show, either.

Still inferior to what's in the comics and crap, and unnecessary especially when you could just take what's in the comics and do what's TASM2 equivalent to it
It's just such bad form to call someone less of a fan, and comes off a bit... unhinged to say the least, when someone says that because another fan enjoys some new aspect of something or the like that they are taking an active part in "destroying" that which they love. That's coming from a place of arrogance with just a whiff of, well... I won't say more cuz I don't want to get banned.![]()
Wow. Well that's interesting. Lot of room for improvement but it's a good Mark 1.
And good point btw, I'm sure that's why they released the pic.
The new Spidey suit is perfect. This is the same point I made earlier when I was told that the comic book look would never work in live action and that because the 90s TV show suit was the closest anyone ever came and that because a suit that was built over 20 years ago doesn't hold up today there's no way the comic book look would ever work in live action. According to this poster the comic book look could not be assembled out of contemporary cool materials but just instead only be made out of materials that are obviously outdated.
The thing is the JLA TV pilot suit was NEVER the comic book suit - look how horrendous it is. It looks like fast food mascot, the logo is off, the lightning trim is all wrong, there's a huge slab of plastic going across the front of his face. The old Spider-Man TV suits were at least Spidey in terms of overall design, they were just made out of crappy materials/ poorly executed. Now we have the same design but made out of cool materials and very well executed.
But for Flash we have a bad design, one that's very inferior to what's in the comics, made out of good materials and well executed. Bad design + big budget. Still inferior to what's in the comics and crap, and unnecessary especially when you could just take what's in the comics and do what's TASM2 equivalent to it (right logo with white behind the three pronged, symmetrical lightning bolt, the gold lightning trim around the gloves/waist/" belt" area, the right stylish ear pieces, the right color scheme, and yes, even the gold boots can be made to look cool, but in the off chance the studio doesn't have the balls to try and make them work, they can just add gold lightning trim to the top of his boots and make them red, similar to how his gloves are in the comics, and call it a day). But instead we get DareDevil zipper coat, the wrong logo, ear pieces that look like his chest symbol just half assedly tacked on to the sides of his head (yeah that's creative), a nice, BIGASS belt buckle, and three different shades of red and business all over it.
Lucky us. The Flash has been CW'd.
Buuuut there is hope as the suit MIGHT change and progress into a look that's closer to the real suit as the show goes on which is what I will hope for at this point.
The changes specified by you, detrimental to your goals. Anyone who disagrees with it is an enemy of the Flash! Stone the unbeliever!
Kryp, I don't think you understand. This is Kevin Smith... Look, his avatar is The Flash. Not just any Flash. THE FLASH. Barry Effin' Allen. The most important Flash in the whole, wide world. I mean, if that doesn't mean he knows the most and his opinion is gospel, then I don't know what anything means anymore. Just look at that avatar whenever you even think about telling Mr. Smith off. Just look at it.
There's a huge difference in the budget for Sony's The Amazing Spiderman 2 suit and CW's Flash suit.

Oh boy....here we go. I don't like the suit and am defending my opinion on it and because it's not the majority view = troll.
Was just a matter of time I suppose.
Anything that clashes with an otherwise perfect and fine costume in the comics, one of the best superhero designs of all time, is detrimental to the source material. It's simple.
It looks very different.
Well, quite the change in opinion that happened there.
70% morbid curiosity, 30% there's nothing good on TV right now.
It's one of the best designs of all time because you say so. No room for differing opinions what so ever.
Also no room for those that think it's a great design but are also open minded enough to accept different versions of it.
