I feel bad for whoever writes Justice League. How the hell do you put all those characters in a situation that they have to work together to overcome? They're all so damn powerful...
GL can basically create anything...
Flash can run at the speed of light
and Superman is as powerful as the writer wants him to be

Read something by Grant Morrison or Mark Waid. Even Geoff Johns (not his New 52 excretions though).

I think the show will be very good and the suit will look good in post with the lighting effects and angles. I can understand why they didn't go with a white background in the symbol. I'm sure a red looks good on screen given the lighting, plus that big ol' white circle just draws a lot of attention. It's like a huge bullseye and not necessarily practical for a first time out superhero if looking at it from that standpoint. In fact I would have liked to see a darker red rather than that lighter red in the background.

Hopefully, this show turns out to be really good.

Man, I went to bed right before the new pics went up. Looking good. But I'm already looking forward to the evolution of the suit.

Just how Spider-Man went from this...

Agreed! I'm starting to think that this is actually the show creators' goal.

My bet is he creates the costume we see here by himself to start off, but he'll start working with STAR Labs like in the old show and he'll get a better suit made out of more complex materials to protect him from friction and everything else.

We've seen Ollie's outfit evolve in some respects. It only makes sense that Flash will too.

I'm sure it will evolve after season 1 or after the first few episodes. Depending on reception. Keep in mind they probably won't show a lot of full body shots on the show.

I do like the darker red though...They should do some type of shading as with the Spidey suit so that the red can sometimes look lighter or darker as the blue does in Spidey's suit.

and...found this one to.

Attention? Bullseye? The Flash designed his costume TO attract attention and look cool.... how does not having white in the circle symbol make a guy in a giant red suit less attention grabbing? And The Flash cares not for bullseyes because he can out race bullets, catch them out of mid air, dodge them in slow mo, or let them phase through him (well, Flash in the comics could.... when it's revealed his top speed is only 300 mph in the show, I might get a little worried...).

Yes. That's exactly what I hope for.

Actually, that looks horrible. Even more so.

Oh boy....here we go. I don't like the suit and am defending my opinion on it and because it's not the majority view = troll.

Was just a matter of time I suppose.
No, you have every right to your opinion, but just don't be obnoxious/annoying about it.

It's got the right logo and the lightning trim....even if it looks terrible around the waist, I'll take it. No worse than what we got that's for damn sure.

I agree to wear a red suit is an attention grabber, but having a huge white circle when it's your first time out fighting crime does paint a bullseye on your chest for criminals and snipers to aim for.

Not saying I don't like the traditional emblem, but having a dark red or black background is not a deal breaker IMO and may look cool on television given the lighting and angles.

In the tv show he is just becoming the flash, so just because he is fast doesn't mean that he has any fighting skills or crime fighting abilities whatsoever. Give it a season or two, and maybe we will see him evolve into traditional flash.

Heck maybe old flash won't be Jay Garrick or his dad, but will be him from the future.

What I don't like:
The belt and giant UGLY belt buckle. The leather band that serves as his belt is a very weak replacement for the waist lightning bolts. Probably the worst aspect of the costume
The loose fit of the suit makes it look cheap. A more form fitting suit definitely would've been better.
Multiple materials on one costume can work well, but the way they Chose to break up the materials is not aesthetically pleasing to me
The symbol is awful. The bottom of the bolt is way too short, and the bright red circle instead if the white was a bad move

I really like the cowl though

This is what I agree with. I am optimistic though, I still want to see how it looks on the show before judging. Plus the costume will undoubtedly undergo changes. We'll just have to wait and see. I really like the cowl and the fact that they went with a darker red.

I think the Arrow costume is MOS-quality.

I think they could do some updates to the mask and outfit to make it more "iconic." However, I'm not exactly sure I want to see Arrow and Flash in the MOS movie-verse. I kind of want different actors for the movie-verse, and don't want any tie-ins to the tv shows.

I agree that its crazy to expect the same quality as MOS or any other Hollywood Movie, with a multi million dollar budget, but they could have made the suit look several times better, with only two minor changes. Ditch the leather and stick to one material for the costume, what they used on his arms and torso looks great. And make it form fitting. That's it.

Actually, that looks horrible. Even more so.

Here here!

Can we take all these fake comic-book-physics-fabric Flash costumes to the costume thread? It's what it's there for.

I don't think form fitting works on a TV budget, it always looks cheap and people don't stay in form fitting shape year round.

It only needs to be form fitting like the ASM2 costume. And all Gustin would have to do, is to jog a couple times and keep doing push ups, so his legs and arms look decent. I don't expect the suit to show his guns like the MOS suit

If he'd look like this, I'd be perfectly happy. I don't need him totally ripped. I just don't want the costume to be all loose and wrinkly.
